NOTICES ANZAC Centenary Dawn Service Sunday 19 April, starting at 6.00am. The service will congregate outside St John s on the concourse surrounding the Soldier s Memorial. After the service there will be a light breakfast in Buxton Hall, to which everyone is invited. St John s will be organising the catering and would be very grateful for any assistance in setting up the day before, and serving breakfast on the day. Please contact Brenda Mouritz if you are able to help. The sign-up sheet is available at the back of the church today to indicate your attendance, or please contact the parish office (for catering purposes). Walk Against Want Jenny Stengard and Barbara Brown will again be doing the Oxfam Walk Against Want this year. They will be in the Guild Room after church on 12 (today), 19 and 26 April. If you would like to sponsor them donate, support self-help programs in 29 countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific as well as Indigenous Australia. Announcement As confirmed by Bishop Graeme Rutherford at last Sunday s service, his last Sunday here at St John s will be 3 May. The new locum will be Reverend Roger Williams who will preside at services starting Sunday 10 May. Breakfast & Morning tea All parishioners are welcome to attend breakfast, straight after the 8.00am service in the Guild Room. Morning tea is served also in the Guild Room, after the 10.00am service. If you are new to St John s, please ask a parishioner for directions. Evening Service From 2015, the Evening Service will take place first Sunday of the month (only) at 5pm in the Angel Chapel, and will include Holy Communion.
