SCHOLAR NEAR THE BEACH SHABBAT 5/30-5/31 JCC EVENTS 5/23-5/30 We are planning three "Scholar Near the Beach" Shabbatot this summer. Last year the response to the opportunity to study together with guest scholars was met with much enthusiasm. The first Scholar Near the Beach Shabbat will be Friday 5/30 through Saturday 5/31 with the return of visiting scholar, Phil Kruger. JEWISH HERITAGE DAY at the Blue Claws Stadium in Lakewood last Sunday was attended by synagogues throughout the Ocean and Monmouth County area. The JCC of LBI was well represented in the stands and in the parade before the game. It was a thrill to hear Hatikvah sung along with the National Anthem. Five new yahrzeit panels with room for 100 plaques are now available. Each plaque costs $250. A second or more, if ordered together, cost $225 each. A reserved plaque is $75.
