1 About this Opportunity This is a unique and rare opportunity to enhance the beauty of United Orthodox Synagogues while perpetuating the memory of a loved one. UOS is launching a campaign to obtain new klei kodesh or ritual objects where needed. In addition, we are offering the opportunity to sponsor the rededication of our remaining Torah requiring restoration. Our daily and weekly minyanim reflect the vibrancy and showcase our welcoming philosophy. The experience of attending shul services and programs is enhanced by the spiritual atmosphere and objects that surround us, similar to the comfort of one s home. There are many ways to participate in this Mitzvah of shul beautification. Please take a moment and look at the enclosed dedication form for the many options. This is the perfect way to honor a special occasion in your family, or to the passing of a loved one. L hazkarat Nishama This campaign is also about memory. We recite Keyl Maleh Rachamim, in memory of the deceased, committing to charity as a form of remembrance. We will dedicate each of the sponsored items in an installation ceremony, consecrating the items to the shul. The names of the individuals being commemorated will be inscribed on memorial plaques or embroidered on the objects. At our dedication event, as each item is formally presented to the shul, we will inform the congregation of the life and persona of the individual being commemorated.
