I would like to take this opportunity to summarize our planning process and highlight our campaign goals. After several years of strategic planning, building needs assessments and gathering feedback from parishioners we conducted a campaign planning study in June to determine support for a campaign, identify campaign leaders and establish a campaign goal. The goal of the campaign is to advance the mission of our church and school by addressing their key maintenance issues and facility improvements. The infrastructure of our school is in dire need of upgrades to provide the best educational experience possible for our children, to maintain safety and to uphold our reputation of excellence. Likewise, our church is in need of restoration to make it the best possible environment for our parishioners and students to be nurtured in our Catholic faith. Our hope that a successful capital campaign at this time will help to provide for the future of St. Paul. We will be asking for all parishioners to help us take the next step forward in our parish s history as we move forward with our campaign. Over the past few weeks we have been busy preparing materials and recruiting volunteers to assist with the campaign. We have been blessed with extraordinary campaign general chairs with Don and Mary Adams, Brian and Leslie Bassier and Ryan and Monica Burchett. They have developed an inspirational and strong group of volunteers that will help our campaign be a success. If you are interested in assisting please let me know. The parish will kick-off the campaign in mid-september. We will publish updates in the bulletin and communicate additional information regarding the campaign s goals with information sent by mail to each parish household. Each weekend during the campaign we will be praying the campaign prayer at each Mass as a faith community. I ask you to pray for the success of our campaign, for the spirit of charity and for the courage to make the sacrifice necessary to be truly generous, all by the grace of God through Jesus Christ His Son. Questions to ponder this week: *In our Gospel today Jesus makes the following statement: For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted. How can I embrace true humility this week in my relationships with others? What does that look like?

We ve run out of intentional disciples Okay not really! We know our parish is full of strong witness of the faith and we are in search of more people to interview and share their story for our bulletin spotlight page! Do you know someone in our community who has had a powerful encounter with Jesus, who witnesses their faith in a humble yet vibrant way, who lives as an intentional disciple? Have you ever thought about nominating them for sharing their faith story? Take this chance to think about how God has moved in your own life or how you have seen Him working in others lives. Pope Francis tells us to "Go out and share your testimony, go out and interact with your brothers, go out and share, go out and ask. Become the Word in body as well as spirit." We are called to share and give glory to God who is working in our lives. If you'd like to nominate someone to share their story or if you have a powerful story, please check out the website or contact the office. We'd love to hear from you!

Dear Parishioners, ST. PAUL THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC CHURCH CAPITAL CAMPAIGN Last week we announced that the parish is moving forward with a capital campaign to address key maintenance and facility issues at our church and school. The theme of the campaign is Glorifying God in Gratitude and Gift and will be conducted over the next few months, ending in November. The pledge period is three years, and we hope to have full participation from the entire parish through giving of time, talent, treasure and prayer. So far our campaign is off to a great start! We are lucky to have an enthusiastic group of campaign leaders on board including: General Chairs Major Gift Chairs Don and Mary Adams Mike and Myra Daniel Brian and Leslie Bassier Kyle and Lyndsey Day Ryan and Monica Burchett Jeff and Robyn Goree Brad and Cheryl Merritt Honorary Chairs Tim and Beth Millea Jack and Joyce Arth Ted and Lisa Taylor Pat and Peg McCauley Bob and Pat McCoy This week and next, we will continue recruiting volunteers to help with the campaign. Please consider working as a volunteer when asked. If you have not been asked, please consider volunteering. To reach our goal, we will need the help of the entire parish community. God Bless, Fr.
