MEN S BREAKFAST Every Thursday at 8:30 am at Brenda s Café 4 Corner s Advisory Board Meeting at Bethany on March 9 th at 6:30 p.m. WELCA News Our WELCA meeting will be held today, March 5 th at 11:45 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in the Hanna Petersen Room. Paul draws on the firsthand experience of the Galatians themselves as well as the Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) to make the case that the Galatians are part of God s family because of God s gift and promise, not because of whether or not they obey God s law. In this study, Paul continues to reinforce this understanding. If you are interested in the Bible Study, come to today s meeting. We would love to share your company. Bring a sack lunch; the coffee pot will be on. Victory Trinity Lutheran Church invites your children, grandchildren and neighborhood kids to enter the Maker Fun Factory. A place Created by God, Built for a Purpose Vacation Bible School. Ignite kid s faith with rock-solid Bible truths! Bubba reassures your youngsters that God is always with you. If you can t attend the Thursday meeting, please tell Polly and/or Pastor what songs are most meaningful to you during this sacred time. Victory friends: Your friendship is the Sunshine that warms my days and puts a Smile in my Heart. Thank You My deepest appreciation for both your friendship and thoughtfulness. Love Jacky (Jeter) February 13, 2017 Dear Friends, Tonight when I went for my mail, there was a Valentine from you. I can t tell you how it tickled me! I am into my 6 th year here at Century Village, and it is so wonderful to still be remembered. Some things are meant to be treasured and this card is one of them along with the warm memories I have of all of you. I still miss you and think of you often. While I ve joined the Methodist Church here in Florida, I no longer have the same involvement with the congregation. Part of that is an ageing process. (Part of that is traffic, too. There is a culture shock coming from rural roads to BUSY in capitals). I guess what I really want to say is that I was so touched to be remembered after all this time. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Love Jacky Easter is April 16. In March we will begin taking orders for Easter flowers. PROJECTS DAY March 9 th nine a.m. to noon PRAYERS SHAWL April 1 st 3 pm to 4:30 pm WEAR YOUR IRISH Friday, March 17

Before your congregation is scheduled to host a meal, please contact your congregational meal organizer to volunteer to help set up, clean up or to furnish food. At Victory Trinity the organizers are Phyllis Thompson and Carol Hansen. Easter is coming up and the Circle Rocking S Children s Farm hosts its annual special needs Easter Egg hunt and Bonnet Contest starting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 11. Bethany and Victory Trinity Lutheran Churches are asking for donations of small wrapped treats to fit into plastic eggs. Last year we only had enough treats to fill 1500 eggs and that wasn t enough the event ran out. You can bring in your candy/treat donations to the church--or we have empty eggs for you to take home to fill and return to the church. Last year Project s Day and Hospitality INC filled the eggs but now, you can fill eggs too! The event is April 11 and the Farm would like the filled eggs at least a week before the event. Youngsters and their families also come from Benzie, Manistee and Lake Counties. If you would like to brighten Easter morning for both Lutheran Social Services of Michigan Group homes in Scottville, (Samaritas), tell Nancy at Victory Trinity or Norma Andersen at Bethany. Victory Trinity would like to make up sandwich bags of treats for the employees and a basket of fresh fruit and other small gifts like color books, crayons etc. for the residents they are not allowed to have too much candy.
7 Victory Trinity is looking for two people to volunteer to attend this meeting with the Pastor. We will pay your travel and lodging expenses. Just tell Pastor or a member of our council of your interest. In November Victory Trinity Lutheran Church increased its presence with a website which can be found by entering the URL
