For $20/day you can sponsor a day and faithfully support the work of our ELCA missionaries, Anne and Willie Langdji, who serve as the ELCA Madagascar, West and Central Africa Regional Representatives; and also the work of Global Health Ministries. Thank you for your faithful and generous mission support. Radio Broadcast-KOVC Radio broadcast of the 8:30 worship is on Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. on KOVC 1490 AM. To sponsor a broadcast and/or reserve a sponsorship date for 2018, please contact the church office. The cost to sponsor a broadcast is $100 and you may provide this gift in memory of or in honor of someone, an anniversary or another significant event. Some examples are: diapers, soap, shampoo, paper products, and snack foods. These items, along with your other generous donations each month are greatly appreciated.

Your donation of "treasures" (things you are no longer needing) and bake goods of all kinds (or maybe a donation for what your bake goods would sell for) will help the Treasury of "Women of Our Saviors" (WELCA) Be generous with many local, state and global projects. 8 Now the green blade rises from the buried grain, wheat that in dark earth many days has lain; loves lives again, that with the dead has been; love is come again like wheat arising green. The calendar on the wall says It s Spring!, but the weather outside indicates that winter still has a grip on our part of the country. With more minutes of daylight and the sun traveling higher in the sky, I m pretty confident that Spring will come and winter will give way. I can almost hear the trees and flowers primping as they get ready to show off the colors! Isn t it a miracle to hear the songs of familiar birds as they make their pilgrimages north! Forth he came at Easter like the risen grain, he that for three days, in the grave has lain; raised from the dead, my living Lord is seen; love is come again like wheat arising green. The change in months on the calendar brings a new season in the church year. On April 1, Christians around the world will celebrate Easter. Like Christmas, which the church celebrates for 12 days, Easter is too big to be contained in one day of celebration; we celebrate Christ s victory over death for 7 weeks each year. How exciting it will be to hear the good news; Christ is Risen! When our hearts are wintry, grieving or in pain, your touch can call us back to life again, fields of our hearts that dead and bare have been; love is come again like wheat arising green. As I think about Easter and the implications it has for us, our life and our death, I remember many people who have said during times of trial, I don t know what people do if they don t have faith. God s love, seen in the death and resurrection of Jesus, is transformative. As the hymn reminds us, God s touch has the power to call us back to life again. May the good news of Easter bring you joy. I hope you will join us for our Easter Sunday worship and the Easter breakfast put on by the youth. Thank you to Kyla for organizing the breakfast, to those who providing food and the youth for serving. Thank you to all who donated flowers for our Easter celebration.
