3 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Please enjoy this small gift each day during the coming year as we work together to create a brighter future for our keiki. Hawaii Reserves, Inc. A Land Management Company...wishes you a Mele Kalikimaka and a Happy New Year During one of their royal visits to Lä ie in the 0s, King Kaläkaua and Queen Kapi olani noticed how well keiki thrived here. They still do, and our calendar focuses on our children and how the hopes we have for them drive the future of our community. We have amazing keiki and youth. Our kids at Kahuku High and Intermediate School are an excellent example: By size of the student body, Kahuku should probably be a Division II school, but for decades Red Raiders have demonstrated excellence in line with the biggest and best schools in Hawai i not only in football and other sports, but also through their outstanding achievements in history, debate, music, government and many other academic endeavors. We are grateful for them and in this year s calendar celebrate their vision, spirit, stewardship, skills, talent, friendliness, love of fun, sense of heritage, knowledge, willingness to help, strength and joy. We also thank those community-based photographers who donated their pictures, including Mark Lee of Holladay Photo, James Choi, Monique Saenz, James Atoa, Jenica Lee Taylor, Mike Foley and Steve Hoag.
