He lives a legacy of service President Henry B. Eyring! During WWII, his home was used as the place for church worship! He played basketball in high school! His father was a renowned chemist! He is known as Hal by his friends! He and his wife have 6 kids President Dieter F. Uchtdorf! He is the only apostle born outside the United States! He and his grandmother first learned about the gospel while waiting in a food line after WWII when he was six! He enjoys hiking and classical music

He and his wife have 10 kids Elder L. Tom Perry! Even though his family lived in the city, his dad had him milk a cow to learn hard work! He s the only apostle to have served a full time mission during WWII and then served in the military Elder Russell M. Nelson! He has perfect pitch and sang in many choirs, musicals, and quartets! He was on the team that developed the first heart-lung machine! He performed the first open-heart surgery in Utah using the machine

He s the only apostle who never served as either a full-time missionary, bishop, stake president, mission president, seventy, or member of presiding bishopric before being called. Elder M. Russell Ballard! Both of his grandfathers were previous apostles! He was a hard worker and always had a job from the time he was little! His father s family business was Ballard Motor Company Elder Richard G. Scott! He played the clarinet in the band and was a drum major in the marching band! His girlfriend (now wife) wouldn t marry him unless he served a mission, which he did to Uruguay.

He was Pres of Papermate, VP of Max Factor, headed Hughes TV Network, and then was Pres of Ponds Elder Jeffrey R. Holland! He was co-captain of his college basketball team while at Dixie! He attended three colleges (Dixie, BYU, Yale) and has four degrees (BA, two Masters, and a PhD)! He was the 9 th President of BYU Elder David A. Bednar! He served a mission to Germany! He met his future wife while playing flag football for FHE at BYU! He baptized his own father while a doctorate student at Purdue

6 Elder Quentin L. Cook! He was the captain of his high school football team.! Married his high school sweetheart after serving a mission to England! Graduated from Utah State University and Stanford Law Elder D. Todd Christofferson! Elder Richard G. Scott was his mission president in Argentina! He earned a law degree from Duke University and became a lawyer! The most significant thing he s learned is how to pray effectively. Elder Neil L. Andersen! He can speak FOUR languages: English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese! He & his family LOVE the hymns and had a daily program to learn them.! He graduated from BYU as a Hinckley Scholar and got a Masters from Harvard
