7 Leading with Literacy Greetings Brothers, the Grand Lodge Mentoring Program is collaborating with Michael Neal, Executive Director of the Leading with Literacy Program that provides the opportunity for men to be active in the lives of young kids by reading little books to little children. This program started out of a need to put more men back into elementary schools (K-3 rd grade) in an effort to teach young children that men are also an important part of their development to becoming well-rounded citizens. We are looking for Brothers to volunteer 15 mins out of the week to read little books to little children. The school days are Tuesday thru Thursday, Friday is available. The schools are located within close proximity of the Grand East (809 E. 42 nd Place) and the opportunity to expand reading outside the current school list is also available. No training, no background checks and no drug testing. All you do is sign up via with your name, address and phone number and start reading. Please send in your information to us no later than February 15, 2017 to become a part of this important effort, thank you. Please contact Bro. Kenny Askew at , blackgoldmine@sbcglobal.net or the committee Chairman Bro. Charles Alexander at , marlow65@sbcglobal.net
