Melchizedek Priesthood holders (from either the Elder's Quorum or the High Priest Group) who are willing to perform priesthood blessings should fill hospital assignments. 2. We encourage two brethren to go as a companionship for an initial hospital visit. 3. Priesthood holders should not solicit blessings at the hospital, or offer blessings to those who do not ask for them. 4. Please involve your Ward Council or appropriate Stake leaders for needs beyond an initial blessing, e.g., providing rides to church for the patient's family members, involving children and youth in ward activities, etc. 5. For long-term stays, it is appropriate for a Ward to continue providing fellowship rather than handing the patient off to the next assigned ward. 6. In recent years, all hospitals have become more cautious about visitors, especially if the patient is in serious condition and cannot communicate well with staff. 23 ANNUAL ASSIGNMENTS DANCE CHAPERONE ASSIGNMENTS JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC CE BG OR LI SG CP CE BG OR ALL Assignment The ward is responsible to provide two chaperones, either a couple or two individuals, for the dance. Time, Place and Location o The dances are held from 8-11 pm, except for the New Year's Eve dance, which will be held from 9 pm-12 am. Dates/Locations are reflected in the Calendar. Chaperone Responsibilities o o o Chaperones should arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the dance (generally, 7:45 pm). Chaperones should dress and act in accordance with the dress code. Chaperones are expected to remain throughout the duration of the dance and assist with cleaning. 23
