HORACE KING, of the Cold Spring Community in Abbeville County, South Carolina, do hereby make and publish this as my Last Will and Testament and hereby revoke all previous Wills and Codicils by me made 1. I give and bequeath all of my personal and household effects of every king including but not limited to furniture, appliances, furnishings, pictures, books, jewelry and wearing apparel to my wife, MARIE L. HNG, if she shall survive me. 2. If my wife, MARIE L. KING, shall survive me, I give, devise and bequeath to my wife cash, bank accounts, real estate or other property of my estate (undiminished by any estate, inheritance, succession, death or similar taxes) having a value equal to fifty (50%) per cent of the value of my adjusted gross estate as finally determined for federal estate tax purposes, less the aggregate amount of marital deductions, if any, allowed for such tax purposes by reason of property or interests in property passing or which have passed to my wife otherwise than by terms of this ^ item. My Executrix shall have the sole discretion to select the assets which shall constitute this bequest. In no event however shall there be included in this bequest any asset or the proceeds of any asset which will not qualify for the federal estate tax marital deduction, and this bequest shall be reduced to the extent that it cannot be creditedwith such qualifying assets, I direct my Executrix to value any asset selected by my executor to be distributed in kind in ^satisfaction of this bequest at the value of such asset at the date of distribution of such asset. 3. I authorize my Executrixes and my Trustees to allot, assign, care lor, collect, contract with respect to, convey, convert, deal with, dispose of, enter into, exchange, hold, improve, invest, lease, manage, mortgage, create security interests in, grant and exercise options with respect to, take possession of,;, pledge, receive, release, repair, sell, sue for, and in general, to do any and every act and thing and to enter into and carry out any and every agreement with respect to the property included in my estate (or any trust created in this will) which she could do if she were the absolute owner thereof, upon such terms and conditions as my Executrixes and Trustees may deem best, and to execute and deliver any and all instruments and to do all acts which such Executrix and Trustee may deem proper or necessary to carry out the purposes of this will, and without the necessity of a court order. 8.
