1 Your Heartland Harvester contributions assist the Church of God in Kansas and Oklahoma with the following ministries: New Church Plants Strengthening Small Churches Regional Meetings & Conferences Ministerial Development / Training Cross-Cultural Ministries Thank you for your monthly donations. You are making a difference in the Kingdom! MISSION STATEMENT: To develop and implement programs and ministries in soul-winning, church planting and church growth that will assist the local church to reach and reap the harvest of the 21st century. Stan Holder, Administrative Bishop Ernie Wright, Youth & Discipleship Teresa Holder, Women s Discipleship Michele Wright, Girls Clubs Alfonso Arreola, Hispanic Ministries Linda Roberts, Administrative Assistant REGIONAL COUNCIL James Jones Bucky Sitsler Ken Angel Thomas Mitchell Gerry Dupuis Robert Peterson Mark Smithson Kevin Bartley Lorenzo Jackson Kenneth Adams YOUTH & DISCIPLESHIP John Donnelly Nathan Gauwitz Matt VonWald Mark Ingram Johnny Gray Jim Estep Inside This Issue From the Heart 1 Winter Conference 2 Empowered Conference Girls Clubs Jamboree Youth & Discipleship 5 Statistics, Harvester Around The Region January 2018 The New Year has finally arrived. It only took 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes and 31,536,000 seconds to get here. That is the thing about Eme, the clock just keeps on Ecking forward. As the old secular song lyrics say, Eme keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping into the future. That is so true! I spent the past few days thinking back on how well I spent those 31,536,000 seconds last year. There were challenges, surprises and victories along the way. But I m not saesfied with the progress. I want more! I want more of His Presence, more of His Power, and more of His AnoinEng. I also want to gather more Harvest, see more Church Growth and develop more Godly Leaders full of faith to trust God for the impossible. Every morning, I am faced with two approaches to the Eme before me. Much of my day is spent being REACTIVE to the issues that have suddenly developed. Whether it be a church issue, a Pastor resigning, giving financial support to a non- budgeted item, or taking a call from a disgruntled member, these things take Eme to resolve. Being PROACTIVE however, is much more enjoyable and fulfilling. I assume it is the same way with you. So, my challenge to you in this New Year is to MAKE the Eme to be PROACTIVE. I already know that like me, you will have to REACT to the issues that rise in a normal day of ministry. Be PROACTIVE and take as much as you can of those 31,536,000 seconds that God has given to you, and do something life changing in your church, your home and/or community. Christ wants us to be the aggressor, to charge the gates of hell and reclaim lost or stolen blessings that our adversary has, at Emes, robbed us of. Kansas and Oklahoma need the Church of God to be moving in the power of Pentecost, operaeng in the Gi^s of the Spirit, never compromising God s Word, standing on the authority of God s Word, preaching and teaching with an anoineng that breaks the yoke of bondage and sets capeve people free! There is not a sinner shortage in the Heartland of America. People sell need His Touch, His Love, His Peace, His Guidance and His Grace. Father, In the Name of Jesus, release the ministers and laity of the Heartland to do great exploits. Empower us and give us the wisdom to use our >me wisely. AMEN. Stan Holder

8 AROUND THE REGION Congratulations to Pastors Ernie and Michele Wright and the Sooner Road COG for the recent sale of their old property and the purchase of new property. Relocation is progressing Congratulations to Pitt Chapel and Pastors Mark and Reba Smithson on the recent gift from a local church in Pittsburg of $4, to this ministry. WOW! REGIONAL OFFICE ADDRESS CHANGE - Please permanently remove the PO Box address for the Heartland Regional office. We are now only using the physical address, 796 N Santa Fe Avenue, Edmond, OK All reports and correspondence should be directed to the physical address Alberta Capps has begun her radiation treatments. Please keep her in your prayers Please continue to pray for Jerry Capps, John Howell and Michael Jackson. Love NEVER Fails! I can use something that works 100% of the time. Love should be an integral part of every local church. Love is certainly the message of our Christian Faith: God is love, The greatest of these is love, Love your neighbor, and Love your enemy. Here is a fact worth considering. Love is more frequently experienced in growing churches than in plateaued or declining ones. But, can people learn to love better than they are loving now? Absolutely! This biblical principle could be the key to position you for harvest time.
