As you have heard by now, we served here as State Youth Director in the 90 s. We have also ministered in Camps and events in Kansas with four different Youth Directors. We love the Heartland and believe the Harvest is God s heartbeat for our Region. As I reconnect and make new connections, I became more aware of the wonderful people in our Region. You are some of God s best! As Jeremiah 29:11 states, He has a plan and a future for you. His plan is not to harm, but to prosper you. His future is bright for our Region. His plan is to give you hope! If your current situation seems hopeless, that is the enemy s plan - not God s! Verse 12 says, Then you shall call upon me and you shall come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Without prayer, we are hopeless. Prayer is how we find hope that will pave our way to our future. Verse 13 reads, You shall seek Me and find Me. Here is the key. When you search for me with all of your heart, I will be found by you, says the Lord. Our focus will be on Prayer and Intercession. Not a rehearsed prayer, but seeking God with all of our heart. It will not only restore your hope, but it will turn any situation around. If you have lost all hope, cry out to God with all of your heart. He promises he will hear and be found. To do what God wants us to do together, it all begins with prayer. James 5:16 is still true, The effectual fervent (hot) prayer of the righteous availeth much. Prayer will do what we cannot do. As a Harvester, you are bringing hope and helping us reach the Harvest in the Heartland. Would you join me in prayer for a Harvest in the Heartland? I commit to you that I will pray for every church, pastor and minister everyday. I am praying for Hope and Harvest. We cannot do it without you. Thank you for partnering with us. 2 Broken Bow Fire Update On July 26th at 10PM the Broken Bow Church of God had an electrical fire. The results were a total loss of the sanctuary, however the fellowship hall was saved. The church was displaced for one Sunday, but was able to borrow a building to continue services. After having service in the borrowed building, the congregation met in front of what was left of the building for a photo. In the first week, they were able to restore water, electric, and gas to the fellowship hall and begin to have services on the property the next Sunday. After the insurance company released the church to begin the clean up, several volunteers, and churches from around the region came to help during the two salvage days. The scrapping of the metal is finished and the church is waiting on the demolition company to start the next phase. The Insurance policy will cover the rebuilding of the sanctuary, but will come up short on furnishings. 4 Women s Ministries Jan Jarvis, Director It is my honor to be back in the Heartland serving as your Women s Ministries Director. I look forward to renewing old acquaintances and meeting those whom I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you for all you have been doing to bring in the Harvest.
