John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, John 1:19-21 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you? And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, I am not the Messiah. And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he says, I am not. Are you that prophet? And he answered, No. Malachi 4:5 Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; John 1:22,23 Then they said to him, Who are you so that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say of yourself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord," Gimmel has the numerical value of #3 What do we know about the Holy Spirit? He came to accomplish 3 things: John 16:8 And when that One comes, He will 1.convict the world concerning sin, 2. and concerning righteousness, 3. and concerning judgment. The Holy Spirit convinces mankind they are guilty of sin before God, That there is a standard of righteousness that we have failed to achieve And Judgment is coming where we will be held accountable. 1

2 This is what John was teaching: sin, righteousness and the judgment to come. The letter g gemel is spelled lmyg and related to lmg which literally means Camel! Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. While the Bible talks a lot about individual s character rarely does it mention their clothing. So when it does we must look at the significance. John is dressed up in camel s hair. Gamal in Hebrew means camel. And it just so happens the letters dgb is the Hebrew word beged meaning garment! The letters bg is the Hebrew word Gav which means locust! The sages say there is a spiritual form to this letter. It is one of a person walking from a house toward a door or from the letter beit to the letter dalet. In other words the letter g is a man dressed up like a camel emerging from the letter b toward the d. What is the gimmel s mission as it leaving a house headed for a door? The sages say gimmel was on an important mission to Dalet. They describe it s mission as one of mercy to bring food and nourishment to Dalet. If Dalet is stubbornly closed to gimmel then punishment will result. Why because the letters of gimmel may be pronounced gamal meaning recompense lwmg ghem-ool' Isaiah 35:4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. So from these four letters from Aleph to Dalet we see a story unfolding. The father aleph/bet with His son, beit, sent forth gimmel to nourish someone behind a closed door. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 2

3 Besides the Dalet being a door as we will discuss more later the word Dalet comes from the root word Dahl which means weakness and poverty ld, dal from 1809; weak or thin:--lean, needy, poor (man), weaker. 1Samuel 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, 2Samuel 3:1 Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker. Can the gospel message be any plainer? Here we have the father and the son sending the Holy spirit to the door of those who are in poverty and weak, knocking asking them to open the door! Revelations 3:19,20 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Punishment comes if the knock is refused. Song of Solomon 5:2 I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night. Song of Solomon 5:3-6 I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them? The word for Father. The Father both nourishes His children as well as disciplines them. The word of God is likened to a sword. Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 3

4 The 3 areas in which the Holy Spirit brings conviction, sin, righteousness and judgment to come are the same 3 areas that the Tanach is divided up into: Torah - Law - convicts of sin: Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. Ketuvim Writings including psalms and Proverbs instruct us in the ways of righteousness. Psalms 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Proverbs 11:19 As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. Psalms 18:24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. Recompense is for the good and the bad. Remember this is the word Gamal Neviim - The Prophets general theme is the judgment to come Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? There is only one time in the entire Torah that the letter Gimmel is enlarged. It so happens it is in the very middle verse of the Torah: Leviticus 13:33 He shall be shaven, Gimmel is also cognate to gamol gml which means to nourish until completely ripe. Numbers 17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds lmg gamal, gaw-mal' a primitive root; to treat a person (well or ill), i.e. benefit or requite; by implication (of toil), to ripen, Genesis 21:8 And the child grew, and was weaned: Development of an infant to where it doesn t need to nurse. 4

5 Since bringing something to maturity is an act of kindness in helping another the Hebrew term for helping another is known as a gomel chesed a performer of kindness. The gimmel which literally means camel also can go a long time without drinking water and helps travelers survive the desert it is known as a gomel chesed or a performer of kindness. It is said the world stands on 3 pillars: Torah, Divine service and acts of kindness. This principle, the blueprint of our lives, is contained in the first three letters: Aleph stands for the study of Torah: Job 33:33 If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach Pla thee wisdom. Psalms 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. Deuteronomy 34:5,5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, Gimmel is the #3 a number alluding to two opposing factors coming together to form a third, more perfect entity. Aleph speaks of oneness Beit implies duality, diversity, incompatibility Gimmel signifies the ability to neutralize the dissimilarity of two forces and unite them into a wholesome unit. Ecclesiastes 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. The idea of three as a result of a merger between two opposing ideas is found in these qualities. Convergences of three God gave Through the Patriarchs His 3 part instruction - Tanakh To His 3 part nation- Priests / Levites / Israelites Through the 3 rd born Moses who sanctified the people on the 3 rd day of the 3 rd month. 5

6 Proverbs 22:20,21 Have I not written to thee three times with counsels and knowledge? To cause thee to know the certainty of sayings of truth, To return sayings of truth to those sending thee. This is referring to the Torah which was written with an alephbeit that forms sets of three letters. The 27 letters of the Hebrew alephbet put in columns added together and divided by three you get the value of the middle letter. Hence three is the symbol of the cube--the simplest form of solid figure. Three, therefore, stands for that which is solid, real, substantial, complete, and entire. All things that are especially complete are stamped with this number three. God's attributes are three: omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. There are three great divisions completing time--past, present, and future. Hence it is that the Holy of Holies, which was the central and highest place of worship, was a cube. Hence it is that the third Book in the Bible is Leviticus, the book in which we learn what true worship is. The three years of His seeking fruit testifies to the completeness of Israel's failure (Luke 13:7). His three-fold "it is written" shows that the Word of God is the perfection of all ministry (Matt 4). The Divine testimony concerning Him was complete in the threefold voice from Heaven (Matt. 3:17, 17:5; John 12:28). The inscriptions on the Cross in three languages show the completeness of His rejection by Man. The perfection of His offices are shown in His being Prophet, Priest, and King, raised up from among His brethren (Deut. 17:15, 18:3-5, and 18:15). 6

7 The Divine completeness of the Shepherd's care (John 6:39), is seen in His revelations as-- The "Good Shepherd" in death, John 10:14. The "Great Shepherd" in resurrection, Hebrews 13:20.. The "Chief Shepherd" in glory, 1 Peter 4:5. Genesis 15:8,9 And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it? And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon. 7
