1 TORAH, GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS DEUTERONOMY 34 MOSES DIES Say Welcome to Sabbath School class. Let s bow our head and ask God for understanding as we study the book of Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy 34 (The Bible tells us 1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart (A vision, a high hill not every mountain is symbolic of the Kingdom of God; showing them the future for all mankind.), 2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. 4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. 7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. 8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. 9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. Numbers 27:12-13), (The Bible tells us 49 Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession: 50 And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people: Deuteronomy 32:49-50)

2 2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea (The Bible tells us 31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the (Euphrates) river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee (This is the borders of the Promised Land.). 32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. 33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee. Exodus 23:31-33) (The Bible tells us 22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him; 23 Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves (Much of Jordon and part of Iraq will happen in the future; no one will stand up to Israel.). 24 Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be. 25 There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you. Genesis 12:7-8) (The Bible tells us 3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries (land), and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; 4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; 5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. Genesis 26:3-5) (The Bible tells us 6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. 7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth. 8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. 9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; 10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: 11 Saying, Unto thee

3 will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: Psalm 105:6-11). 5 So Moses the servant (A slave worker for God.) of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD (The Bible tells us 7 My servant Moses is not so, who is (trusted) faithful in all mine house. Numbers 12:7). 6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day (Because God Himself buried him right there.) (The Bible tells us 44 And this is the law (Torah, nothing else) which Moses set before the children of Israel (This is the food of God.): 45 These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt. Deuteronomy 4:44-45). 7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. (The Bible tells us 23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. Acts 7:23) 8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended (Moses is dead but Jesus is alive and Joshua.). 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses (The Bible tells us 18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; 19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. 20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. Numbers 27:18-20). 10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face ( Moses was very important to God so obey him.) (The Bible tells us 22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. 23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Acts 3:22-23), 11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land (The Bible tells us 34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according

4 to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him. 36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire (covered the entire mountain from top to bottom; that is why don t touch). Deuteronomy 4:34-36), 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel. MEMORY VERSE These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and judgments which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt. 5 MOSES DIES AND THIS IS THE LAW (TORAH, NOTHING ELSE) WHICH MOSES SET BEFORE THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL (THIS IS THE FOOD OF GOD): THESE ARE THE TESTIMONIES, AND THE STATUTES, AND JUDGMENTS, WHICH MOSES SPAKE UNTO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, AFTER THEY CAME FORTH OUT OF EGYPT. DEUTERONOMY 4:44-45
