Narrated `Aisha: the wife of the Prophet ﷺ Safiya bin Huyai, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) menstruated during Hajjat-ul- Wada` The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Is she going to detain us?" Meaning, because of her we will have to stay here? Because without Tawaf her Hajj will not be complete. So we will have to wait for her period to end so she can do Tawaf. I said to him, "She has already come to Mecca and performed the Tawaf (ul-ifada) around the Ka`ba, O Allah's Messenger ".(ﷺ) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, " Let her then proceed on (to Medina). So the menstruating woman is not required to do Tawaf except for the Ifadah. There are types of Tawaf: Tawaaf al-ifaadah One of the types of Tawaaf is Tawaaf al-ifaadah which is performed during Hajj. It is a major pillar of Hajj. It is also called tawaaf alziyaarah (tawaaf of visiting). This is performed after the stay in Arafah or after the day of Eid al-adha (after the sacrificial ceremony). This is one of the pillars or essential parts of Hajj. Tawaaf al-qudoom The other type is Tawaaf al-qudoom which is performed while coming for Hajj. This is performed by the pilgrim who has entered Ihraam for Hajj and by the pilgrim who is doing Qiraan i.e., joining Umrah and Hajj, on arriving in Mecca. - So if you go for Hajj, and have intended to do Umrah and Hajj in one Ihram, then the first tawaf you will do is of Qudoom: qudoom means arrival. So it the tawaf you do upon arrival in MAakkah. Tawaaf of Umrah And one of its types is Tawaaf of Umrah. This is one of the pillars or essential parts of Umrah, which is not valid without it. Tawaaf al-wadaa One of the types is Tawaaf al-wadaa (the farewell tawaaf). This is performed upon the completion of Hajj rituals and after making the intention of leaving Makkah al-mukarramah. Among the two statements of scholars, the Saheeh (correct) one states that it is mandatory for all pilgrims with the exception of those women who are in the state of menstruation or bleeding following childbirth. This was the case of Safiyyah ( r). And the one who fails to do it must sacrigice an animal of the type that is valid as an udhiyah. Tawaaf in fulfilment of a vow - for example, if you make a vow that you will do tawaf if something happens. And one of the types is the Tawaaf performed by someone who has made an oath. It is to complete the vow of one who has made an oath to perform the Tawaaf. After the tawaf are also two rak at salah. So this is also mandatory because of the oath.

ومنها: الطواف تطوعا وكل منها سبعة أشواط يصلي الطاي ف بعدها ركعتني خلف مقام إبراهيم إذا تيسر ذلك فا ن مل تيسر صلاهام في بقية المسجد.[اللجنة الدامئة للبحوث العلمية والا فتاء] Voluntary Tawaaf And one of the types is the Nafli (not compulsory) Tawaaf. After completing the Nafli tawaaf, the person doing the Tawaaf should offer two raka at prayer (if this can be done easily) behind Maqaam Ibrahim. If it is not easy to perform the prayer here then it can be performed in any part of the Mosque. TAwaf is a ritual you can perform only in Makkah - so when you are there, try to do this as much as possible. Tatawwu : what you do taw an: willingly, not unwillingly. So do this happily. We were talking about Hajjat-ul-Wada`, while the Prophet (ﷺ) was amongst us. We did not know what Hajjat-ul-Wada` signified. The Prophet (ﷺ) praised Allah and then mentioned Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal and described him extensively, saying, "Allah did not send any prophet but that prophet warned his nation of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal. Every Prophet warned his people of dajjal Noah and the prophets following him warned (their people) of him. He will appear amongst you (O Muhammad's followers), He will come in your time, not in the previous nations. and if it happens that some of his qualities may be hidden from you, but your Lord's State is clear to you and not hidden from you. You know about your Lord. Dajjal will claim to be god, and you know who God really is - so dont be deceived by dajjals claim. The Prophet (ﷺ) said it thrice. Verily, your Lord is not blind in one eye, while he (i.e. Dajjal) is blind in the right eye which looks like a grape bulging out (of its cluster). م ا ب ني خ ل ق آد م إ لى ق ي ام ال ساع ة خ ل ق أ ك بر م ن ال د جال [صحيح مسلم: 7582 ] Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last Hour. [صحيح مسلم: 7569 ] Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: The Dajjal would appear in my Ummah. غ ري ال د جال أ خ و ف ن ى ع ل ي ك م إ ن ي خ ر ج و أ ن ا ف يك م ف ا ن ا ح ج يج ه د ون ك م و إ ن ي خ ر ج و ل س ت ف يك م ف ام ر ؤ ح ج يج ن ف س ه و الل ه خ ل يف ت ى ع لى ك ل م س ل م [صحيح مسلم: 7560 ] Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the Dajjal. If he comes forth while I am among you, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth while I am not amongst you, a man must contend on his own behalf and Allah would take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). - Allah will guard and preserve their Iman ق ام ال نب ي ﷺ في ال ناس ف ا ث ن ى ع لى الل ه مب ا ه و أ ه ل ه ث م ذ ك ر ال د جال ف ق ال إ ين أ ن ذ ر ك م وه و م ا م ن ن ب ي إ لا ق د أ ن ذ ر ه ق و م ه ل ق د أ ن ذ ر ه ن وح ق و م ه و ل ك ن س ا ق ول ل ك م ف يه ق و لا ل م ي ق ل ه ن ب ي ل ق و م ه ت ع ل م ون أ ن ه أ ع و ر و أ ن الل ه ل ي س ب ا ع و ر [صحیح البخاري: 3057 ] The Prophet (ﷺ) got up amongst the people, glorifying Allah as He deserves, then he mentioned Dajjal, saying, "I warn you about him (i.e. Dajjal) and there is no prophet who did not warn his nation about him, and Noah warned his nation about him, but I tell you a statement which no prophet informed his nation of. You should understand that he is a one-eyed man and Allah is not one-eyed. ف ا ما ه ل ك ال ه ل ك ف ا ن ر ب ك م ت ع الى ل ي س ب ا ع و ر [مسند أحمد: 2148 ] إ ن ه ش ا ب ق ط ط ع ي ن ه ط اف ي ة [صحيح مسلم: 7560 ] Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: He (Dajjal) would be a young man with twisted, contracted hair, and bulging out eye. - so Dajjal is not the television, he is a human being, man, with such hair - the Prophet (s) gave his description.

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: (In a dream I saw behind Masih ibn Maryam) a man who had very curly hair and was blind in the right eye, resembling Ibn Qatan (i.e. an infidel) in appearance. He was placing his hands on the shoulders of a person while performing Tawaf around the Ka`ba. I asked, 'Who is this? 'They replied, 'The Masih, Ad-Dajjal. [سنن ابی داود: 4322 ] Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Indeed, I have told you so much about the Dajjal (Antichrist) that I am afraid you may not understand. (Remember) The Antichrist is short, hen-toed, woolly-haired, one-eyed, an eye-sightless, and neither protruding nor deep-seated. If you are confused about him, know that your Lord is not one-eyed. ع ن ال نب ي ﷺ أ ن ه ق ال في ال د جال أ ع و ر ه ج ان أ ز ه ر ك ا ن ر أ س ه أ ص ل ة [مسند أحمد: 2148 ] The Prophet ﷺ said regarding the Dajjal that he is one-eyed, his skin is of a pinkish white color and his head is like that of a poisonous snake. [سنن ابی داود: 4244 ] Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: When we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah,(ﷺ) he talked about periods of trial (fitnahs), mentioning many times of them. When he mentioned about,الا ح لا س some asked him: Messenger of Allah, what is the trial (fitnah) of? He replied: It will be flight and plunder. Then will come a tribulation of ampleness and abundance. Its murkiness is due to the fact الا ح لا س that it is produced by a man from the people of my house, who will assert that he belongs to me, whereas he does not, for my friends are only the God-fearing. Then the people will unite under a man who will be like a hip-bone on a rib. Then there will be the little black trial which will leave none of this community without giving him a slap, and when people say that it is finished, it will be extended. During it a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening, so that the people will be in two camps: the camp of faith which will contain no hypocrisy, and the camp of hypocrisy which will contain no faith. When that happens, expect the Antichrist (Dajjal) that day or the next. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: It would be the extreme anger which would make Dajjal appear. He (ﷺ) said: For forty days, one day like a year and one day like a month and one day like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: Allah's Messenger, would one day's prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one year? Thereupon he (ﷺ) said: No, but you must make an estimate of time (estimate prayers of one year and then observe prayer).

There will be a guardian angel on every entrance to the city so Dajjal will be unable to enter it. When this will happen the city of Madina will shake its inhabitants three times. Every hypocrite man and woman will migrate towards Dajjal and the majority of these hypocrites will be women. This will be Youm-al-Takhlees. This day the city of Madina will cleanse itself of every impurity/vileness like the kiln which cleans the filth off from iron/metal. أ ن ر س ول الل ه ﷺ ق ال ي ت ب ع ال د جال م ن ي ه ود أ ص ب ه ان س ب ع ون أ ل ف ا ع ل ي ه م الط ي ال س ة [مسلم: 7579 ] Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of أ ص ب ه ان (Isfahan) wearing green shawls. [السلسلة الصحيحة: 3081 ] Dajjal will have seventy thousand Jews with him, each of whom will be wearing a round cloak and carrying a sword laden with gems. What the people will consider as fire, will be cold water and what will appear as cold water will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water." - This will be so hard: that a person sees fire and should go into it The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me, "What worries you about him?" I said, "Because the people say that he will have a mountain of bread and a river of water with him (i.e. he will have abundance of food and water)" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He would be more insignificant in the eye of Allah compared with all this. 5 We (the companions) said: Allah's Messenger, how quickly would he walk upon the earth? Thereupon he (ﷺ) said: Like rain driven by the wind. He would come to the people and invite them (to a wrong religion) and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him. He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it would grow crops. Then in the evening, their pasturing animals would come to them with their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste land and say to it: Bring forth your treasures, and the treasures would come out and collect (themselves) before him like the swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the sword and cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at a distance which is generally) between the archer and his target. He would then call (that young man) and he will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness). [قصة المسيح الدجال للالباين] Shayateen will obey dajja;s order: they will appear in the form of people who died long time ago. [سنن ابی داود: 4246 ] The Prophet ﷺ said: The Antichrist (Dajjal) will come forth accompanied by a river and fire. He who falls into his fire will certainly receive his reward, and have his load taken off him, but he who falls into his river will have his load retained and his reward taken off him. I (narrator) then asked: What will come next? He said: The Last Hour will come. This was revealed to the Prophet (s). The year is of twelve months, four of which are sacred, and out of these (four) three are in succession, i.e. Dhul-Qa'da, Dhul-Hijja and Muharram, and the fourth is Rajab which is named after the Mudar tribe, between (the month of) Jumada (ath-thania) and Sha'ban." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Which is this month?" We said, "Allah and His Messenger know better." On that the Prophet (ﷺ) kept quiet so long that we thought that he might name it with another name. We thought this is why he was asking about it. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Isn't it the month of Dhul-Hijja?" We replied, "Yes." Then he said, "Which town is this?" Do not become infidels after me, cutting the throats of one another. It is incumbent on those who are present to convey this message (of mine) to those who are absent. May be that some of those to whom it will be conveyed will understand it better than those who have actually heard it." He began to teach them the rites of hajj till he reached the injunction of throwing pebbles at the Jamrahs (pillars at Mina). He put his forefingers in his ears and said: Throw small pebbles. - BEcause there were so many people, some were far from him - so he said loudly at the end, throw small pebbles and he said this while closing his ears, because typically people do this when they have tpo speak loudly. Just like in adhan. - but people throw shoes, and bottles, and other things real righteousness is in following the sunnah, not in following our desires, that we throw whatever we feel like at shaytan - At eh Jamarat, He (s) also told people to folow the leader: So those who had assumed the Ihram for Hajj (ifrad) or for both Hajj and `Umra (Qiran), did not finish their Ihram till the day of Nahr (i.e. slaughter of sacrifices). Types of Hajj: Whoever reaches the place of Meeqat during the months of Hajj which are Shawwal, Zulqa da and the first 10 days of DhulHijjah can perform the pilgrimage of Hajj choosing any of the three types of Hajj. Hajj Tamattu Performing Only Umrah: This is named as Hajj Tamattu. This begins in the months of Hajj where the person wears the Ihraam for Umrah alone and when he reaches Mecca he performs the Tawaaf first, then the Sai of Umrah, then he shaves his head or cuts down his hair.

Then on the day of 8th Dhul Hajj (meaning) Yowm ut-tarwiyah he should wear the Ihraam for Hajj and perform all required rituals for its completion. If he delays the wearing of Ihraam until the 9th day of Dhul Hajj there is no prohibition for that but it is against the Sunnah. And when wearing the Ihraam for this type of Hajj the words to be said are as follows: With the intention of performing Umrah one should say Labbaik Umrah and on the 8th day of Dhul Hajj he should say Labbaik Hajja. Hajj Ifrad Performing Hajj Alone: This is named as Hajj Mufrid. On the days of Hajj he should wear the Ihraam for Hajj alone and then he should perform the Tawaaf Qudoom on his arrival in Mecca, then he should perform Sae e for Hajj and if he chooses to he can delay the Sae e for another time. - Those who come from Madina usually perform this Hajj Then he can perform the sae e on 10th Zul Hajj after Tawaaf-e-Ifadah. He will not shave his head or cut his hair or remove his Ihraam until the day of Eid after performing the ramee ritual at Jamra Aqaba and then he will have completed the Hajj pilgrimage. Hajj Qiraan Combining of Hajj and Umrah in one Ihram: This is named as Hajj Qiraan whereby one should wear the Ihraam for both Hajj and Umrah combined. He should wear the Ihraam for Umrah first and then before beginning the Tawaaf for Umrah he should combine in it Hajj. After Umrah he should not remove the Ihram. He will continue with the Hajj And while wearing Ihraam one should say the intention for Hajj and say the words عمرة وحج ا. The most preferred type is Hajj Tamattu and the Prophet ﷺ ordained this on his Sahaba and preferred it. However, if one has brought a sacrificial animal for slaughter then it is best to perform Hajj Qiraan because the Prophet ﷺ ordered that if a sacrificial animal is not brought then the Ihraam be worn for Umrah and after the ritual one should cut his hair and be Halaal after that. He ﷺ said If I had not brought with me a sacrificial animal I would have done the same as I am ordering you to do and those who brought sacricail animal though intended to perform Umrah alone he orderd them that they wear the Ihraam for Hajj along with it, And among the three types of Hajj those people upon whom to sacrifice is obligatory are of Hajj Tamattu and Hajj Qiraan but he who is performing Hajj Mufrad is not obligated to perform the sacrifice. Malik also narrated as above, saying, "(We set out) with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in Hajjat-ul-Wada`...)" Narrated Sa`d: The Prophet (ﷺ) visited me during Hajjat ul-wada` - I adah is to visit someone when they are sick. while I was suffering from a disease which brought me to the verge of death. I said, "O Allah's Messenger!(ﷺ) My ailment has reached such a (bad) state as you see, and I have much wealth, but I have no-one to inherit from me except my only daughter. Shall I give 2/3 of my property as alms (in charity)?"

Meaning can I divide my property in three parts, give 2 parts in charity and leave only one for my daughter? The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No," I said, "Shall I give half of my property as alms?" He said, "No." I said, "(Shall I give) 1/3 of it?" He replied, "1/3, and even 1/3 is too much. It is better for you to leave your inheritors wealthy rather than to leave them poor, begging people (for their sustenance); kaff is the palm: so you dont want them stretching their hands in front of people begging them and whatever you spend for Allah's Sake, you will get reward for it even for the morsel of food which you put in your wifes mouth." I said, (ﷺ) Should I remain (in Mecca) behind my companions (who are going with you to Medina)?" The Prophet!(ﷺ) "O Allah's Messenger said, "If you remain behind, any good deed which you will do for Allah's Sake, will upgrade and elevate you. May be you will live longer so that some people may benefit by you and some other (i.e. infidels) may get harmed by you." The Prophet (ﷺ) then added, "O Allah! Complete the Migration of my companions and do not turn them on their heels. But the poor Sa`d bin Khaula (not the above mentioned Sa`d) (died in Mecca)." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) pitied Sa`d for he died in Mecca. - The Prophet (s) disliked that someone should die in Makkah after having immigrated from Makkah. This is why Sa d b. AbiWaqqas was worried at this occasion - Here, we learn that if a person accepts the law of Allah, and distributes his wealth according to it, then that is better - because we dont know who will benegit us more: our parents or our children or some other relatives: a person wants to give his wealth to those whom he expects more from. But you dont know. So Allah has decided what portion of wealth should go to which person. He Himself has legislated the law of inheritance - Also we learn, acquiring wealth is better than being poor - LEaving wealth for your children is better than leaving them poor - Use the wealth that you have, instead of living in poverty - Sometimes, a person has a grudge in their heart, and he wants to deprive a certain relative of inheritance - Allah knows about that. - You can t disown your relatives in order to deprive them of their share - Sa d b. Abi Waqqas did recover, and was able to return to MAdina - sometimes, you are so ill you dont think you will survive - death has its Gixed time, so dont despair of life and health until death actually comes no matter how ill you may be. - When you Gind yourself closer to death than to life, then worry about your akhirah - - The Prophet (s) always gave hope to people: even if someone says that they think they will not survive, still give hope to them. - When a person is content with Allah s decree, then he is at peace - dont die before dying: do what you can while you are still alive - The time of death was set from the time a person was in the womb of their mother - but you can take a lot from your life, extend your life by performing actions whose benegit is everlasting. Explanation of Hadith (( لكن الباي س سعد بن خولة..)) سعد بن خولة - رضي الله عنه - من المهاجرين الذين هاج روا من مكة ولكن الله قدر أن مي وت فيها فامت فيها فريث له النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام أي: توجع له أن مات مبكة وقد كانوا يكرهون للمهاجر أن ميوت في الا رض التي هاجر منها.[شرح رياض الصالحني للعثيمني] for is one of the migrants who migrated from Mecca but Allah had decreed رضي الله عنه )) Sa d bin Khaula لكن الباي س سعد بن خ ولة..)) him that he pass away in that place so he passed away in Mecca and the Prophet ﷺ commented kind words meaning: showing grief for him that he passed away in Mecca. The Sahaba did not like their demise to happen in the land where they had migrated from (so that their reward/recompense in the hereafter is not depleted). The Prophet (ﷺ) got his head shaved during Hajjat-ul-Wada`.
