1 World of Jinn :2 (1st November 2011) The Reason we are learning about the jinn is to be cautious, we need Allah swt to protect us,we do not need to fear anyone except Allah swt. The reason we are learning about this is as we are soon going to sacrifice an animal only for Allah s sake. Some people when they enter a new house sacrifice an animal to ward off the jinn or evil spirits. Some people seek refuge from jinn. Allah says in surah jinn that there are such people who take shelter from jinn but they are wrong. The problem surely arises when humans interact and start dealing with jinn. Also we see today that the persons who have been harmed are mostly those who are interacting with jinn,such people are harmed the most by them. Ibn tayyimiyah said that one shaykh had to do kufar to please the jinn, the shayateen made him do sins to keep them happy. People commit grave sins in order to have jinns serve them. Story:funny story of shakyh who enjoyed sweets and loved halwa so he always commanded his jinn to bring him sweets.. halwa started disappearing from shops, jinn stole it,so the shaykh repented and paid back to these shops later in his life. It is very dangerous to deal with jinn, although life may become easy but it is very wrong. The jinn will be at your service only when you give up your religion. The interaction with jinn is very dangerous as they make human beings commit big crimes. They make them write Quran backwards or make them write in menstrual blood! They will make a person do the worst things imaginable! Some other people do it for fu...,teenagers sit in a circle with a board game and invite the dead souls to speak to them, call the dead grandmother, so this will happen, and they will believe that the have dead come The shaytan will do this, it is the qareen of that person, as he has always been accompanying the dead person so he knows everything about that person. This is the jinn, tricks of shaytan, falling into the trap of shaytan. Some high school girls did and the jinn came and disturbed everyone by possessing them. Among the jinn there are good and bad, the bad ones are called shaytan, ibleees is the father. There are different levels of shaytan,the term shaytan can be from human and jinn, those who are evil and have gone astray. The main goal is to misguide the human being, deprive them of jannah. Hadith: the shaytan swears saying by your majesty and honor I will never

2 leave the human being till the soul leaves their body. Allah responds that by My majesty and My honor I will forgive them as long as they repent back to Me asking forgiveness. This is the reason on the day of arafah, when Allah forgives everyone's sins, then shaytan will be weeping. He will say that he plotted for so many years to make peopel go astray and go into the fire and to be deprived from jannah but now they have all been forgiven by the almighty Allah. In life the shaytan has goals of trying to harm the human beings physically and emotionally so today we will learn how he harms through possession. When we learn this then our heart should be attached to Allah, hold onto rope of la ILLAHA illahaa.. Sara a in Arabic means to : touch them :possess them This is when the shaytan touches the human body, it is known as mas or sara a. The jinn goes inside the human body, suddenly the body shakes and the voice changes, and this person will talk something else, in a cursing language, or will speak foul words. Story: Once a lady called the shaykh to say that she is possessed and needs help, so the shaykh read ruqyah and suddenly the voice changed and he started cursing and speaking badly with the shaykh! Why does shaytan possess some people? Ibn Tayyimiyah says there are two reasons 1) that the human being carelessly and unintentionally poured hot water somewhere. If you open hot water always say bismillah, as if the jinn is there or his child is there you have harmed them then he will attack you and they will take revenge.even the good jinn will attack.if the human being harms them unintentionally he should say bismillah. Always say ruqyah all the time to be guarded, so they do not attack you. When you leave the house say dua, when you enter house say dua. If you know they can harm then we need to protect ourselves. Sometimes it is a test when they may have been possessed. 2) ibn tayyimiyah said that the other reason can be out of desire. If the jinn loves somebody and if the person does not have protection. Once a repented magician said that they are available at places where there is no mention of Allah swt, places of mixing, songs, they are

3 enjoying the party!! In islam this is the reason we do not wear revealing clothes even to just ladies parties. One shaykh said the most difficult case is when the jinn loves a particular human being and does not leave the body.this is the reason we need Allah al Haafidh- we cannot live without Allahs protection. In the time of Prophet, saws, there was black lady who was having fits and asked Rasul saws to pray for her cure. The Prophet saws said that I can make duaa and you will get cured or do you want jannah by bearing this test with patience? She said she will bear with patience but she requested our nabi to make duaa that her clothes remain intact and covered if ever she gets such an attack in future! STEPS TO CURE POSSESSION. The Shaykh must be very righteous and of a very high level. Shaytan is scared of righteous people.there is the story of Imam Ahmed Abu Hanbal was called as a lady was possessed. He said I will not go,you take my slipper to this lady, and sit near her head when she gets the attack and then say that Ahmed said to you that go out or else you will get a hit from his slipper. As soon as he said this the shaytan said I obey and even if he told me to leave from Iraq I will go..the jinn are scared of good people. From Omar RA the shaytan always ran away..if you have a good level and are righteous he will not come near you...whenever there is sin the shaytan will come..this girl then got married and had children,after awhile imam Hanbal passed away, then again the jinn came back, then again he took the slippers of imam Hanbal,but the shaytan now said I will not obey you as imam Hanbal has passed away and he obeyed Allah but you do not so I will not...only if one who has strong faith does the shaytan get very scared of them. 1) NASEEHA: The shaykh needs to talk to them nicely, give advice, just to explain that this human being poured hot water without knowing and please forgive him, he cannot see you. If the jinn possesses out of love then the shaykh will remind it that this is a sin,allah does not approve of this!! If he still does not leave then take the second step. 2) REBUKE/ Threaten: Need to threaten and rebuke, be harsh with the jinn, have to talk very harshly.they will ask him to leave and based on the shaikhs righteousness the shaytan will leave... if not then the third step.

4 3) BEAT: Severe beating which the human being will not feel it, only the Jin will feel it after 300 lashes he may leave the body, 4) READ RUQYAH: Allah will protect you. Always read ayatul kursi and do things like attending classes. These are all means so do not be afraid as life can become difficult, ask protection from Allah. The shaytan can harm human beings physically also by magic. SIHIR means hidden magic: just like the term Sahar,before dawn is sahar and it is hidden- similarly magic is hidden -just illusions.some are tricks but some take the help of jinns.the magician s deal with jinn, they will ask you to bring hair, nails, blood, clothes where you can smell her. These are shaytani ways,the magician with shaytan. They will make a knot and blow on it, or they will make Taaweez and ask it to be kept under a pillow, this is how the magician will work. If that person is not protected then you will see changes in the person, Surah falaq: min sharri C D E F G I J K G From the evil of what He has created, For example a couple love each other which someone dislikes so they go to jinn and try to break them apart. They will bring some personal belonging and give it to the magician so he will make the husband see his wife looking like a monkey. Sihir is a big evil, the shaytan are trying to spread mischief between husband and wife,either they will make knots or put medicine in their food.this is wrong, it is disbelieving,this Saahir is considered a kaafir,this is like shirk also. The story of a magician whose father was also a magician and how he became a corrupt magician. He stayed in cave, lived dirtily, committed adultery and homosexuality. The more crimes and sins you are committing the more jinn will be at your service. He said did all this until Allah guided him. He saw in his dream that his father was in hell fire, from that moment he made ghusal but shaytan will not let him and they had a battle and the jinn harmed his wife and children but then the man went to masjid, he started advising people towards good and now he has

5 opened many markaz now and is a changed man. Did anyone do magic on Prophet saws? answer is Yes. Lubaith,a yahudi, did magic on our nabi. Our rasul had become forgetful, he would not remember where he kept his things etc, until he saw a dream where prophet saws saw two angels having a conversation and talking about someone doing sihir on our nabi,they also showed him the place in the dream, so he went to that place, then the two verses,mowdutain were revealed,so we must always read qulhuwal Allahhu Ahad,qul audhu bi Rabil falak( from outer harm), qul audhu bi rabbin Naas & ayatul kursi, this will keep us protected. HASAD: When you admire someone say Maashaalaa laa kuwata ILLAHA billah, this will protect them as well.we learnt this in Surah kahf. When you say Allah's name the shaytan will withdraw, he will go away. Sometimes some people intentionally and some unintentionally will have hasad, envy. For example you like your vase and you admire it then all of a sudden it will break. Sometimes when people have envy with intention and wickedness, so say min sharri Hasidim iza hasad, Some peoples eyes will harm others. Hasad is there but of course don't give importance to it by saying don't go here that family is not good. Don't make it a phobia for yourself, always guard yourself, None can protect you except for Allah. Hasad will turn back to the people, we should not fear anyone except Allah swt, don't be afraid of the jinn or the Sihir. So now we have learnt how shaytan can harm us physically and emotionally in these manners but in life he can also worsen by creating fasaad in deen. FASAD FiD DEEN: This is a worse kind of harm which he does to people to spoil their deen by his whispers. He gives ideas of sins, of worse things, as he does not want people to enter jannah, He wants people to be in the lowest level of fire so he will try his best to take you there. He will try to make the person fall into kufar and shirk. Shaytan will deceive you in a very subtle, hidden manner, he will do it slowly, in steps, very gently. So Allah says do not follow shaytans footsteps. Surah Hashar Aya 16

He will come slowly in stages and say do not follow Allah. On the day of judgement when the person will say that shaytan misled me, so shaytan will say I just gave you idea but you did it. Allah says I created my slaves all of them on Tauheed, who took them as a prisoner was shaytan. The worst thing he does is that he makes you hate each other and bring enmity between them. Surah maidah 91 الله وK t إW F c vx I x اj F l mnن أ ن u Z m ^ ` x اv q j او ة و اj { } Fء V d اz j I c و اh m c j I وw x u bv K t ذI b اj w ة o d أu ƒw ƒzg ن The Shaitan only desires to cause enmity and hatred to spring in your midst by means of intoxicants and games of chance, and to keep you off from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. Will you then desist? Surah Baqarah Aya 169 إW F c jf ^ u b I G x h ء و اF n Š a jء و أ ن j ا ˆ D t الله c D q F G ن He only enjoins you evil and indecency, and that you may speak against Allah what you do not know. So shaytan brings enmity between people so don't listen to him. He will make people fall into bidaa, he wants you to fall into bidaa and make you think it is good and you will not repent since you don't know that you are doing wrong.f you knew it was a sins you would repent. Shaytan loves bidaa as he knows that people will not leave it, so we should leave it and not be attached to it. Sins you can repent from but bidaa you think you are doing good, this is wrong! He will make you leave your prayers and become lazy. Although you want to do good deeds you will become lazy. In the night when you sleep, he will tie a knot saying sleep, then again tie two other knots. So when you wake up in the morning and mention Allahs name then the knot will open,when you make wudhu the second knot opens,when you pray the third knot opens, then you are ref freshed!

7 Surah Aaraf aya16 اum ƒ h c j اطY I u j ن v q ` Ž V Z ƒ x أ F c } d ` F ل He said: As Thou hast caused me to remain disappointed I will certainly lie in wait for them in Thy straight path. The shaytan wants to take you into a crooked path.. Shaytan is very patient with us..he comes to the person based on what they want..so always say audhu billahi minshayatnir rajeem. The moment you say this he becomes like a fly but if you curse him then he will grow bigger...for example during Haj after finishing people sit and complain about the company, or they sit arguing and debating, so always say audhu billahi mina shaitan a rajeem. There are other ways shaytan misleads you, especially after you have done a good deed. I f you had given maybe ten thousand Dirhams as sadaqa, you will be proud of yourself, this is riyaa, hypocracy, this will destroy every good deed you did. If you are making salah the whispers of shaytan comes, and you are thinking about house etc, one shaytan,khunzuq,has been assigned to disturb in salat so sau authu billahi mina shaitan a reajeem and dry spit on your left three times. There are different stages and times when shaytan tries to mislead a person, The last time he will come is at the time of death- say dua that I seek refuge that shaytan that he will not mislead me at the time of my death. Remember the Story of imam Hanbal: at the time of his death he was heard saying.. not yet not yet... when the son asked to whom was he talking he answered that shaytan had come to him saying that you have been a very good man in this life. Imam Hanbal said not yet I am still alive and so I will not fall into your tricks.subhanallah!
