Names of Allah Al Wakeel 30 th October 2012 What is more beautiful than knowing our creator Allah Subahanawatha'la? It will make our life easier and we will get the tranquility and peace and we will get the best place in Jannah! The people who put their whole trust in Allah: Mutawakkileen- they are the ones whom Allah loves and they will enter Jannah without and hisaab or recompense! So how are these mutawakkileen? They KNOW Al Wakeel! Sometimes before when we would talk about the tawakkul and we discuss the points and the ways, still we don t do it. But who said you will have the tawakkul without knowing Al Wakeel? It s not possible! You need to know Al Wakeel and then only you can have the tawakkul! And this name Al Wakeel is mentioned 14 times in the Quran- meaning we need it very much in our lives. Last week we mentioned in 3 ayat where we need the name Al Wakeel: I. First: protection from a clear enemy. And one of the biggest enemies is the shaitan and he is our plain and clear enemy for which we need a Wakeel to defeat him! II. Second: fear from hidden people and hidden enemies. Whether it s from your family or society, in front of u they are good but behind your back they plot and talk against you! So Allah Subahanawatha'la he doesn t want us to deal with him where we take him as a Wakeel and rely and trust humans! When we take Allah as a Wakeel we cannot take anyone else as a Wakeel and he needs to be sufficient for you. How can we get this? We need to feel we are WEAK! If you want to have the power you cannot get it except if Allah wills! So we need to feel we are weak all the time: whether we are young or old or whether we are healthy or sick or in good times or bad times or poor or rich etc. You have to feel you are Da eef! WEAK! But you also need someone to support you- TRUST IN YOUR WAKEEL! And then you will get the power!
Whether we have food or not we need to feel like we need Allah Subahanawatha'la to feed us whether we are hungry or full! Sometimes there is a means for us but we want it so much but we don t get it. But it will fail us also! Like the alarm which works all the time but then we need it to work it doesn t work! This is all nurturing! Because no one can feed you or guide you or clothe you except Allah! You need the power from Allah in order to reach your target! So when Allah said: power but he followed it with: for us to worship him, he never meant that we do it with our own إ ك د us!! We need to rely on Allah to make it easy for و إ ك ن Now Allah Subahanawatha'la gave us all different talents right and even for those talents you cannot rely on yourself! E.g.: some people say that so and so is a very patient man and if you push him to the max he is still patient. This is his nature. Now if that person relies on his talent and nature, even the small mistakes someone might do and then suddenly he will lose it! Sometimes don t you see you are the opposite to your nature? You might be a person who gets angry and then suddenly when something big happens you are calm and collected! E.g. 2: you are the best cook in your neighborhood and everyone depends on u for eid etc but maybe on that day you will forget or sleep or you may cook the food but it doesn t come out good etc So with the talents you need EXTRA RELIANCE on Allah Subahanawatha'la! Sometimes before in your life you never thought about the tawakkul but your life was alright. But then now when you want to make the tawakkul and your life becomes a struggle and then you think back to when you never even knew about tawakkul. How your life was a lot easier then. And this is all the whispering of the shaitan! Allah Subahanawatha'la he was being generous and Kareem to you back then when you didn t know the tawakkul! But now Allah Subahanawatha'la taught you and guided you! You didn t do anything but Allah Subahanawatha'la he guided you and here Allah az awajal he dealt with you with his generosity! You transgressed and made mistakes and still Allah az awajal helped you! Don t you want to be elevated??? When you make the tawakkul Allah Subahanawatha'la will appreciate this more! Allah is Ar Rahman and Ar Raheem!
We want to live in this life and get more closer to Allah az awajal with His Names! We are in the life with the I hthibaar and we want to be aware of what we are writing in our test! Alhamdulillah that Allah az awajal deals with us with His Generosity! While you are alive Allah deals with you with his generosity and mercy in order that you will KNOW him and go BACK to HIM! All of this is so that you can start to trust in Allah az awajal! Allah az awajal said: even the prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam is not gentle and kind hadn t it been for Allah! Don t you think when we study the names of Allah it is like there is a BIG telescope in your heart and every moment you need to check it!!!!!!!! Anything you say and anything you think you try hard to return to Allah Subahanawatha'la! Out of Allah's Rahma and Kindness He wanted his creation to ASK him because he LOVES it! This is why Allah Subahanawatha'la initiated a NEED in us. We are always in NEED! Allah Subahanawatha'la wants your heart to HIMSELF! And he cannot get the heart unless there is a need! Because at that time you will run to him. Allah Subahanawatha'la he wants the attachment and just imagine how much he will APPRECIATE when you go to him and not to anyone else! Especially when you have a problem and NO ONE can solve your problems: this is the best situation. Why? Because you have no one to run to EXCEPT Allah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The aakhira is better lasting and it is what will remain. So whatever you need in the dhunya use it as a bridge towards the attachment to Allah. One of the major sins humans can have is: Su adhanni Billah!!!!!!! Thinking BAD of Allah. How? Allah Subahanawatha'la told us that if we will trust him that He will be sufficient for us. But then we cannot do this and we go about trusting all the other people! So when you don t trust Allah fully it s like you are thinking bad of Allah! Allah said don t fall into the haram in order to make easy your life. But people tell you if u want things with the municipality to go easily then give a bribe etc but this is haram! Even if you spend all your life on bribes it will never make it easy! Don t you know that everyone is in Allah's hands! Maybe the paper is there in the drawer stuck under another paper and they don t see it and cannot help you! So don t ask except Allah Subahanawatha'la because He will make a way for you!
And Subahanallah when you make the taqwa and you are Waiting for the rescue from Allah and while you wait your Hasanaat increases and increases. Waiting for the rescue from Allah is a form of ibaadah! You want your kids to be guided. But you trust in Allah and don t attach to anyone but Him. You guard your heart and rely on Allah and maybe you wait for a very long time but all this waiting time period is a form of ibaadah! So one of the biggest sins is to THINK BAD of Allah! So what is the opposite for Su adhann? Husnudh anni billah! Thinking GOOD of Allah! There was a story that Imam adh Dhahaabi said about thinking good of Allah. Story: There was a man who was very poor and one day his wife said to him they need food. They had only one dinar and the wife said to the man to take the bag and go to the bakery and buy some flour with the dinar to make the bread. On the way the man saw a very poor person worse than himself, and so that man he trusted in Allah that Allah will help him and he gave the dinar to the poor person. Now after he gave the dinar away, he knew his wife would be angry with him and he couldn t go back home. So he went to a carpenter and he asked him for the sawdust because that was all he could afford. So he wanted to pretend it was flour and give his wife. So he went home and gave her the flour [sawdust] and then went to his room. Then later on the wife came to the husband with bread and he was amazed and asked her how she got the bread? And she replied from the flour that he brought home. And he was so amazed. So imagine Allah Subahanawatha'la he will test you at the times when you are in the worst distress! And how can you trust him in those times if you don t know about him???!!!!!!!!! Now in Surah Ahzaab ayat 48 This ayat tells us another instance when we need to rely on Allah Al Wakeel! ' $ % & ا ر ن و ا ن و د ع أ ذ اھ م و و ل و $ * + و - و ط
And obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and harm them not (in revenge for their harming you till you are ordered). And put your trust in Allâh, and Sufficient is Allâh as a Wakîl (Trustee, or Disposer of affairs). [Tafsir At-Qurtubi] In this ayat Allah Subahanawatha'la combines the two enemies for us.! + و - See the emphasis again and again about the $ * In this ayat Allah Subahanawatha'la tells us about two groups whom we need to protect ourselves from. Who are they? The Kaafir our clear enemy whom we shouldn t obey or listen to. because the kaafireen they always want us to leave our religion. The Munaafiq- hidden enemies whom we cannot obey. Why? Because they are not very clear. So these 2 are our enemies. And the hidden enemies are worse than the clear ones because we don t know right. This is why Allah az awajal tells us NOT to worry about these 2 enemies. Don t obey those people and leave them alone. Don t be busy thinking about them and what they said or spread about you etc don t go worrying too much about them. And put your trust in Allah! It is said that the worrying comes from Su'adhanni billah! E.g.: some people worry: ok my husband didn t come back and now what has happened to him? Maybe he is gone and who will look after us etc you continue worrying The Tawakkul & Worry CANNOT GO TOGETHER! Because people always worry about everything: about kids and who they will befriend, about the maid, about parties and outside influence and from where they will get money etc So all this worrying is Su adhanni billah! So the Less you worry the More you are having Husnudh anni billah! LIVE HAPPY---- EAT HALAAL KEEP CALM WITH NO WORRIES! Always remember how ever much trouble and problems you have it is NEVER as bad as the problem Ibrahim Alai had when he was about to be thrown into the fire! Our worrying can get worse depending on our experience. Experience can make a person rely on himself and not rely on Allah! But you cannot depend on your past experiences!
Sometimes when you have had Bad experiences this can also affect your tawakkul! E.g.: with regards to delivering a child, all 3 times you have had bad experiences. Then when it comes to the 4 th child you will worry thinking of your experience and how it will go bad etc E.g. 2: you want to move to a new house. Now the shaitan will come to you and say: so and so as soon as they went to this house they died, or this house has bad omens, or see the people who lived there they had so many problems and the man lost his job etc So the bad experiences will come to you and you will become afraid and worry. But where is your tawakkul???????!!! THE BAD EXPERIENCE IS AN OBSTACLE FOR YOU FROM MOVING ON OR HAVING THE TAWAKKUL! So good or bad, both kinds of experiences will hinder your tawakkul. What should really happen is the more the experience you have the more you should really trust in Allah! Beware of the shaitan because he will try to put you down and destroy your trust in Allah! But you need to deal with every situation like you have never had experience and like it s a new situation for you. Then immediately you will rely on Allah! There was a lecturer who long time ago said: once she came to the class and she was very confident with herself because she was so used to speaking and had years of experience. But then the minute she came to start she forgot everything. Immediately she started making isthighfar! Subahanallah so see how Allah Subahanawatha'la will test different people and nurture them! So deal with every situation like it s your first! Now we understand why the Mutawakkileen deserve the rewards they will get in the aakhira! There is an ayat in the Quran to see about the Tawakkul: Surah An am ayat 102 إ ء & د وه ذ م ' إ ر. م $ % & ھ و 2 ق ل 3 ل ء و ل و ھ و Such is Allâh, your Lord! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakîl (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things. Allah is telling us that He is our Rabb! Our Nurturer! We cannot trust anyone else to nurture us and there is NO ONE except HIM! And He is the CREATOR OF EVERYTHING! So don t attract to anything except Allah Subahanawatha'la! We really see Allah's GREATNESS here!
And while we are in this life we need to: & د وه worship him alone! Allah az awajal he created you for only one reason: FOR IBAADAH! So when you worship Allah then what will he give you? So why are you even worried? HE WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING! Sometimes we are using our prayer to worry. During the Salah we will worry about this problem and that issue etc but you cannot! Devote yourself to your ibaadah and don t worry. You are fee sabeelillah! Your heart is for Allah! He will take care of your food and clothing and children and house etc. he is AL WAKEEL! Don t you trust Allah? Busy yourself in worshipping Him and He will take care of everything! Allah az awajal will make it easy. How? He will give you the baraqah! There was a lady who had a large number of kids but she had no help. But imagine she was teaching and learning! Some people said she was a super woman. But NO! She was a SUPER MUTAWAKKILEEN!!!! Nothing should stop you from ibaadatillah. Your responsibilities: Allah will take care of it! And when you come home you will be at peace and with ease because Allah is there to make your affairs easy. Make the tawakkul because you want to get the Hasanaat and be near to Allah! What will make you really long for the aakhira? When you see the BEAUTIFUL things in life. This will make you really wonder how the aakhira or how Jannah will be! Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen that HE shows us these things for us to long for the aakhira! Don t think that if you do a way rather than Allah that it will make your life easy. If you want to make your life easy GO TO THE ONE WHO OWNS EVERYTHING! GO TO THE KING! GO TO YOUR CREATOR!
Allah Subahanawatha'la will TAKE CARE OF IT ALL FOR YOU! He appreciates even the little things you do and he wants you to ask him and beg him and depend on him to make easy your life and never think bad of Allah Subahanawatha'la! NO ONE HAS THE KEYS TO ANYTHING IN THE LIFE EXCEPT THE OWNER. Whether it be Rizkh or provision or love etc He has the KEY. Anyone rather than Allah is like a prisoner. Anyone rather than Allah is drowning. Don t be attached to someone who is a prisoner or someone who is drowning or someone who is being trapped. Attach yourself to the One who is Al Fattah- the Opener. He guides and he gives! He is Al Malik! RELY ON ALLAH SUBAHAANA WATHAALA- AL WAKEEL! To be continued next week..
