Come and chop, sauté and enjoy the company of people who enjoy the kitchen! (and some people who don t ) We will be making meals and soups for our Soup Ministry Program. The main focus of their visit will be to familiarize and engage people in the interior of BC with the work of KAIROS on Reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, Migrant Justice and the Women of Courage: Women, Peace and Security program. 4 Children's Ministry takes place this Sunday, September 16th during the 10am service. Claire is teaching this week! If you haven't had a chance get, please take a moment to complete the online registration form to help us with our planning: day-school-program/sunday-school-registration/ Youth Group will begin on Friday, September 28th - mark your calendars! We will be meeting from 6:30-8:30pm; please note this change in timing. A fall schedule will be circulated later this month. Please take a minute to complete the online registration form to help us with our planning: th-group/youth-group-registration/ Two fall opportunities: BCYAYM Fall Conference 2018: This year BCYAYM Fall Conference is being held in Kelowna, BC, from Friday, October 5th Monday, October 8th, The weekend is open to all youth in grade 8 up to 25 years of age. On Friday starting in the early morning, delegates and leaders journey to Kelowna and will arrive at the church around 6/6:30pm. On Monday the group begins their homeward journey in the morning. Sorrento Centre Associates Thanksgiving Weekend: Each year Sorrento Centre invites individuals, couples and families to gather together at the Centre for the Thanksgiving weekend. This weekend is for all ages: and is by donation for Associates of the Centre (Associates pay a $50 membership fee/adult). Over the weekend there are opportunities for times of learning and praying together, we eat a lot and we help the Centre close up for the winter by participating in work projects. Work projects often include: putting the outdoor chapel away, raking leaves, putting the gardens to bed for the winter, picking apples, processing apples into pies and juice, so on and so forth! It's a wonderful fall gathering for all ages!
