What a joy it has been to worship with each of you these past few weeks. The Holy Spirit has filled my soul as we have listened to our choir and praise team lead us in worship.

2 What a joy it has been to worship with each of you these past few weeks. The Holy Spirit has filled my soul as we have listened to our choir and praise team lead us in worship. It has been good to work with all the leadership in worship service. They have helped me feel welcome in worship and in our work in this community of faith. Thank you for all you have done for our family as we have become your new pastoral family. Part of the joy of being welcomed to Trinity was our welcoming reception. To the Staff-Parish Committee and everyone who participated, thank you! The joy of meeting many of you was wonderful. For all who prepared the food thank you for your hospitality; it was fabulous. Hospitality is a big part of what the church must do. As you have made us feel welcome we must make everyone who we come in contact with feel welcome to the kingdom of God. As God continues to pursue us with the hospitality of Prevenient Grace, and welcomes us with the power of Justification, and disciples us with God s Sanctifying Grace we must follow in the path of God and pursue all persons to know God. May the God who leads us to the porch of Salvation, who knocks on the door of Justification, and opens the rooms to Sanctification show us the path God wants us to show God s hospitality to the world. We will begin rehearsals Sunday, September 9 from 4:00 pm 5:00 pm. We meet in the choir room. Come to our kick-off party! Bring a new friend and get a prize! 4

5 Brothers and Sisters in Christ, As we move into the month of August, school is starting back and it's a time for families to get back into a more regular routine of school and work. The youth will have several events/activities coming up this fall and will continue our Sunday School curriculum of "Our Story" as we work our way through the Old Testament. The youth are hosting a church wide End of Summer/Back to School Pool Party at Oak Ridge Pool on Friday, August 3 from 7:30-9:30. Invite family members and friends and anybody that might just need some Christian fellowship. Bring a towel, food for you and/or to share with everybody, a spirit of Christian fellowship, and leave at your leisure. This is a great opportunity to get to together as a church family and invite and share with others the love of Christ in a relaxed and open environment. I look forward to an amazing time together to get to know each other a little more outside of a church setting. Grace and peace to each one of you and your families.
