The three paragraphs above are an excerpt from my latest book, The Ultimate Proof of Creation (with foreword by Ken Ham, Answers in Genesis president). With the arguments presented in this new book, I demonstrate that biblical creation absolutely must be true because it is a prerequisite for knowledge and science. That is, if creation were not true, science (or knowledge about anything whatsoever) would be impossible. For example: Orderly, mathematical laws of nature that describe the consistent clockwork operation of the universe are exactly what we would expect given that Christ upholds all things by the Word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). If the universe were really the chance product of a big bang, then why would it obey laws? Romans 1:19-20 makes this clear: because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. so that they are without excuse. The key to defending the Christian faith and sharing it with others is to realize that the unbeliever already knows God, but has suppressed what he knows to be true. He denies with his lips what he knows in his heart. We can expose this suppressed knowledge of God by pointing out that the unbeliever unwittingly relies on creation principles when he attempts to reason, or uses science, or makes moral judgments. Like the critic of air, the unbeliever relies on the God of creation to argue against the God of creation. While we cannot cover everything in a short article like this (such as how to counter possible criticisms of the above argument), The Ultimate Proof of Creation gives readers an absolutely irrefutable argument for the Christian worldview. 3 THE CREATION MUSEUM SEIZES THE IMAGINATION, THEN RELEASES IT TO ROAM EFFORTLESSLY THROUGHOUT ITS EXHIBIT HALLS. LIFE HAS BEEN BREATHED INTO HISTORY. EVER WISHED UPON A SHOOTING STAR? If you ve ever watched a meteor shower, you can appreciate the wonder inspired by alien objects flying through space and entering our world. Of course shooting stars are not stars at all, but meteoroids (or parts of meteoroids) that have entered the earth s atmosphere. Occasionally the meteoroid survives its flight through our atmosphere and lands on earth, where it is called a meteorite. In May, thirteen meteorites landed at the Creation Museum. Well, they did not literally land here after flying through the sky, but they did end up at the museum after traveling quite a distance. Some touched down in such far-away places as Australia, Argentina, and Mexico. They were all found many decades ago; one has been in human hands since 1894 when it was discovered in Kansas. These unearthly treasures have been secreted away for years, just waiting to make their appearance at the Creation Museum. In 1937, a man found a large rock in a fencerow in Kelly, Colorado that he thought looked unusual. It had been thrown aside when a road was being put in. Recognizing that this 90 lb. rock did not look like the other rocks in the area, he collected it and began to investigate its origin. It turned out that he had happened upon a brecciated ordinary chondrite, the Meteorite display being installed at the Creation Museum. first meteorite of its kind to be discovered. Over time he became acquainted with H.H. Nininger, who is recognized by many as the father of modern meteoritics. The Kelly meteorite was cut (a common and accepted practice for meteorite collectors and researchers), and the slices were traded until the man had built up a respectable collection of meteorites. continued page 4... 4 CREATION MUSEUM UPDATE FEEDBACK Received recently from a pastor in Kentucky: My family of four attended the Reds game on Faith Day on August 17th. Due to our income it is very difficult for us to afford for all of us to go to a Reds game. It is also very difficult for us to afford for all of us to go to a MercyMe concert. It was a great joy for us to go to Faith Day last year and be able to do both! The ticket prices were cut to an affordabe price that made it possible for us to go. The largest is a 31 lb. section of the Kelly meteorite, the section that had been kept over all of those years. A spectacular slice of a pallasite from Saskatchewan shows the peculiar internal structure of a stony-iron meteorite. You can see some of the odd shapes that meteorites take in three examples of whole, intact iron meteorites. The amusement park boasts the new 22 million ride, Diamondback. The steel coaster stands 230 feet tall at its highest point with a first drop of 215 feet at a 74-degree angle. Riders snake their way around 5,282 feet of track at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour. 13 Olympics Outreach Update If you are a regular reader of Answers Update, you are aware that the international arm of Answers in Genesis, AiG WorldWide, will be ministering next February in Vancouver, British Columbia at the XXI Winter Olympic Games. We need servant-minded helpers! Canada s beautiful city of Vancouver, with its nearby Whistler Mountain and other sites, has been preparing for these Olympics since With its own preparation for these Games, Answers in Genesis has developed its own special Olympics logo. After a lecture I had given in England, two young ladies approached me. One told me that she was a believer, and she had brought her non-christian friend to hear me speak. The non-christian asked me: How come you said I would be immoral if I believe in evolution? I told her I didn t say that. I explained to her that the point I made in the talk was that if a person doesn t believe in God, then there is no basis for absolutes for right and wrong. I added, If you believe that humans are just animals and no different than an insect, then human life has no value. If you accept evolution and believe that people are here through chance evolutionary processes and not by a Creator, humans can determine their own morality... if they can get away with it. I then asked her, How can you insist that there are such things as right and wrong if you don t accept the Bible as the absolute authority? She didn t have an answer. Only the Christian, using God s Word, can defend an absolute morality. That s one of the themes of Dr. Jason Lisle s new book, The Ultimate Proof that God Created (see cover story).
