2 VOLUNTEERS Just as your home church needs volunteers to organize and operate your Sunday services, Turning Point needs volunteers to execute a successful event. We are looking for 150 people to help us on the evening of the event. Volunteers will still be able to participate in the night. We need people willing to serve in the following areas: Greeters Welcome attendees, distribute materials, and scan tickets. Ushers Greet people in their sections and administer the offering. Resource Sales Help sell product before and after the event at resource tables. All volunteers need to arrive by 4:30 p.m. to give our volunteer coordinator an opportunity to explain specific roles before the doors open at 6 p.m. Note: Participants must be physically able to stand on their feet and walk throughout the arena. If you are interested in volunteering, you can sign-up on our website at DavidJeremiah.org/StandUp. Volunteers will receive a confirmation packet one week prior to the event date, stating instructions and details about the evening. We look forward to serving with you!

4 TURNING POINT & DR. DAVID JEREMIAH Turning Point Turning Point s mission is to deliver the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world. We strive to promote ministry in the lives of our listeners by teaching them to reach their own circle of influence for Jesus Christ, supporting the local church, and encouraging the body of Christ. 6 STAND UP TOUR While writing Agents of Babylon, based on the Old Testament book of Daniel, Dr. Jeremiah received a strong, fresh calling from the Lord. Specifically, as he studied the life of Daniel, he was struck by how Daniel gracefully and honorably stood up for God in the midst of a godless society. Daniel was able to not just survive but thrive in Babylon, a culture that stood in stark contrast to his own beliefs. In the face of death and persecution, Daniel was not afraid to Stand Up for God. It s time we live as Daniel did. In a time when Christians are often known more by what they stand against, it is time we are defined by what we are FOR! To take a stand as Daniel did, we must STAND UP and stand firm in our faith. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm (Ephesians 6:13, NASB). This is Dr. Jeremiah s vision for Turning Point Ministries. Instead of cursing the darkness, to shine the Light in the darkness, and STAND UP for our faith. Enough of the divisive and negative rhetoric, it is time to bring the life-changing Word of God to a hopeless and helpless culture. 7 Dear Friend, Are you feeling like we are in a war and the tides are turned against us? There may not be a more crucial and urgent time in history to stand up for our faith. I spent an extended amount of time studying the book of Daniel this year in preparation for writing my new book, Agents of Babylon. Through this study, I became impressed once again by the courage and conviction of Daniel in the midst of a godless society. When faced with death and persecution, Daniel did not back down, he did not compromise, and he did not attack or slander those who opposed him. He stood up and steadfastly upheld the Word of God amidst a culture that demanded otherwise. That s the message God has given me as Turning Point moves forward. With all the changes swirling in our world today, it s time for Christians to remain steadfast and ground ourselves in the truth of the Gospel to spread the light to our world rather than just curse the darkness. I believe God has given us the opportunity to begin a new biblically-based movement that is founded on what we believe, not what we are against. I want to come together with you to reach a lost generation, to re-energize believers, and to empower the church to stand up for God.
