11 Sunday Parking Attendants We need your help! Please sign up in the Fellowship Hall to serve as a Sunday Parking Attendant. Job description: Stand on the sidewalk beginning at 10:00am and assist our disabled worshippers out of their cars into the Meeting House and/or park their cars for them. Box Tops for Education Help our local schools earn money with the Box Tops for Education program. Cut the Box Tops for Education coupon from any of the hundreds of participating products. Bring them to church and we will distribute them to the local schools. Get a collection sheet for the coupons on the Fellowship Hall bulletin board or drop them in the Box Top for Education collection box. Each coupon is worth ten cents (0.10). The earnings are sent to the schools in December and April. Schools have earned over $400 million since the program began in Contact Patti Isaacs-Hansen at for more information. Noon Circle Our Noon Circle meets the first Tuesday of each month and we would love to see some new faces. Each person brings a sandwich, we divide those and share with everyone. Two volunteers each month bring salad and dessert. Nancy always presents a wonderful message and we have a brief business meeting. It is really a fun gathering with lively discussion. Consider joining us. We meet this Tuesday, May 5 at noon, and our last meeting of this season is Tuesday, June 2. - Nanette Nichol and Carol Mayhew

14 Friendship House Mother s Day Mother's Day is a special time to celebrate and remember those women who gave us life and taught us love. For the past several years, Friendship House has offered the members of our community an alternate Mothers Day gift in keeping with their mothers' own spirit of generosity and sacrifice. People may choose to make a donation to one of our many programs for women and children in their mother's name. With a portion of these donations, Mother's Day Memorial Gardens have been planted by Friendship House at the transitional housing houses for women: Epiphany House, Elizabeth House Jane Ashford House, Patterson House and Palmer House. How It Works We welcome you to join this tradition of supporting families in need and creating a living tribute to the strength, gentleness and beauty of the women in our lives. Upon receipt of your contribution, Friendship House will send a beautiful card to the person being honored or to the family of the person being memorialized. No gift amount is mentioned in the card. 15 Yard Clean-up Please join us for our church/manse yard clean-up on Saturday, May 9 th at 9:00am until noon. Please bring rakes and/or brooms. All are welcome! The Delaware Women s Chorus Concert Sunday, May 17 at 4:00 pm - Potluck to follow Celebrate the month of May with a special concert by the Delaware Women s Chorus, under the direction of Joanne Ward. Joanne is a dear friend and new member of our church who plays in our Celebration Ringers hand bell choir and donates her talents as part of our summer special music. The Delaware Women s Chorus is a diverse group of women coming together for two hours once a week for the sole purpose of improving their own vocal technique and creating something beautiful. The concert at 4:00 pm at our Meeting House will be followed by a pot-luck supper in the Fellowship Hall. Please sign up by May 11 th in the Fellowship Hall and indicate what dish you hope to bring! Bring or send lots of food! We need to provide enough extra for 60 singers/families. And as always, bring a friend along!
