Unified Worship at Covenant Followed by Complimentary Luncheon in the Family Life Center SEASON OF COVENANT RENEWAL During the month of October, each Covenant member is invited to reaffirm their commitment to Christ s work through Covenant Baptist Church. The opportunity to renew your Covenant commitment is offered each Sunday and Wednesday. The Book of Covenants is located in the main hallway. Covenants are arranged alphabetically by family in the book and are labeled with your name in the top right corner, so please come and re-sign your covenant.

2 SHARE THE VISION...Dr. Bert Welch I want to urge you to pick up a copy of the Church Transition Plan on the table in the main hallway so you will be informed and prayerful in the course of continued ministry in the weeks and months ahead. I will be hosting my last churchwide Atlanta Braves trip this weekend, and I have asked Rev. Bryant Fersner, the Director of Missions of our Baptist association and recently retired Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Kershaw after nearly 27 years of service, to fill the pulpit this Sunday. Bryant is a dear friend and fellow Pastor, and I am sure he has much to share with you out of his own experiences. Cost is $5 for tickets. We will have a campfire at 7:00 p.m. to roast hot dogs and make s'mores. There will be tractor hay rides back to the maze as well as a few extra activities like shooting tennis balls with a giant air gun and other fun things that will cost a little extra - $5-$10 should be plenty. A fun night for all. Parents and families are welcome. Transportation is limited, but we can carpool. We will return to Covenant around 10:00 p.m. For more information, check out this website:

Pick up two next time you are at church, one for you and one to share with a friend.! Outing to Historic Hendersonville: Sign up for a trip on Thursday, September 25th, to Hendersonville, NC. We will leave at 8:30 a.m. and visit this historic town, eat lunch and hopefully find some delicious apples. Fuel costs will be divided among participants.! Friday Dinner Outing: On September 26th, we will take the bus to Old Armory Steak House in Camden, SC. The bus leaves at 5:00 p.m. Please sign up so we make an accurate reservation.! Luncheon and Program: Our Tuesday, October 14th, luncheon will be a fish fry at the home of Bob and Helga Penegar at 968 Shiloh-Unity Road. Participants are asked to sign up indicating who is coming and if they are bringing a dessert or beverage. MUSIC & WORSHIP: Jason Burley On Sunday, November 2nd, the Kid s Quest and Drama ministries will present the musical, Happily Forever After. This will be a fun worship time together as we learn about God s Shining Kingdom! The musical will be presented in BOTH morning worship services that Sunday. Please make plans to be here and invite folks you know to come and share in this experience that is way more than a fairy tale!
