5 Arlington News and Events Chili Cook-off and Fellowship Tonight at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded. Church will furnish soft drinks and water. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board by the kitchen for members to bring toppings, desserts etc. Please come and enjoy this time of fellowship and bring your best chili! Thanks to all the Youth who helped serve Saturday night and to Deborah, Jaymie, Phillip, and Elaine for preparing the wonderful meal. Everyone had a good time. WELL DONE! Senior Adult Committee Church family, anyone who wants to bring snacks for the Homeless Shelter, their will be a box for you to put then in on the table outside the choir room, Little Debbie snacks, individual chips, etc. Thanks for your help with this outreach project. Upcoming Senior Adult Events February 21, Wednesday- trip to Weldon, NC to eat and shop at Riverside Mills we will leave the church at 11:00 AM March 20, Tuesday-- going to Parkers in Wilson to eat--leave church at 11:00 AM April 30- May Spring Jubilee in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina--we will leave church at 7:00 AM-- All money is due by March 1, NO REFUNDS June 7, Senior Adult Luncheon--11:30 AM--at church Menu: Barbeque Chicken, slaw, devil eggs, baked beans, cakes, tea, coffee and water Cost: $5.00 per person, tickets will go on sell on May 12th thru June 3, 2018 For more information please read the Senior Adult Board in the Adult wing. 6 Arlington News and Events Food Pantry Church family please remember our Food Pantry. We are currently in need of food for children, cereal, pop tarts, canned meats, mac and cheese, ramen noodles, canned pasta, (spaghetti, or ravioli etc.) Kid friendly foods. Thanks for your help with this ministry. W.O.M February Notes: Continue to bring in New or Old Christmas cards for the Prison Ministry. Also, bring can tabs for Ministry of the Ronald McDonald Houses. Plus used stamps for donation to literature of other languages. February is WMU Focus Week of Programs & Ministries throughout NC. Our theme for February is Fan the Flame. By All Means we must share the Gospel. Remember our Homebounds daily with prayer: and with love, phone calls, cards and gifts for Valentines. Join a W.O.M. Group to Study, Pray and Reach-Out as a Missional Lifestyle. * Laborers together with God. 1 Corinthians 3:9 Priscilla Shirer with Tony Evans Live Simulcast April 28, :00 5:00pm Arlington is signed up to be one of only 3 churches currently in NC hosting this live simulcast. This is a great opportunity for us to reach out to others across Rocky Mount and surrounding cities and invite them to our church. We will provide light refreshments and have a lunch brought in for $ 5 a person that day. Please plan to attend and be praying about who you would invite! Save the Date Easter Egg Hunt March 31, 2018 Children s Spring Festival May 5, 2018 VBS June 24-28, 2018 ABC Student Ministry Bible Study and Fellowship Starting Sunday Jan 14 th on Sunday nights the Youth will be starting a study in Ephesians Your Identity in Christ. This is a 6 week study that will cover the struggle in Ephesus, learning how to pursue holiness in Christ, and being strong in Christ. We will start at 6:00pm and have light refreshments each Sunday night as well.
