32 Prayer for Renewal of the Church Gracious and Sustaining God, pour down Your Spirit upon Your Church, grant us a new vision of Your glory, a new experience of Your power, a new faithfulness to Your Word, a new consecration to Your service, that through our renewed witness Your Holy Name may be glorified and Your kingdom discerned; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN. Prayer of Sir Francis Drake O Lord God, when Thou gives to Thy servants to endeavour any great matter, grant us also to know that it is not the beginning, but the continuing of the same, until it be thoroughly finished, which yieldeth the true glory; through Him who for the finishing of Thy work laid down His life for us, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. AMEN. Prayer for Church Planting Lord Jesus Christ, We pray that we obey Your command to make disciples and grow Your church: Inspire us with an outward looking faith, Sustain us to plant new churches, Grace us with the gifts needed for this task, Keep us holy and devout and fill us with Your joy now and always. AMEN. Page 32
