2 2 About Ellel Ministries About Ellel Ministries Ellel Ministries is a non-denominational Christian mission organization which has the vision to see the Church trained and equipped to bring God s healing to those in need and to make effective disciples - to bring the heart of God to the heart of man. The foundational verse for the work of Ellel Ministries is Luke 9:11 which says that Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those who were in need. These three aspects of Jesus ministry form the heart of the work of Ellel Ministries - to welcome, teach and to bring God s healing to those in need. Since the work began in England in 1986, Ellel Ministries has grown around the world in response to the great need that exists in the Body of Christ. Our Basis of Faith God is a Trinity. God the Father loves all people. God the Son, Jesus Christ, is Savior and Healer, Lord and King. God the Holy Spirit indwells Christians and imparts the dynamic power by which they are enabled to continue Christ s ministry. The Bible is the divinely inspired authority in matters of faith, doctrine and conduct, and is the basis for teaching. Rarely do I find a ministry more equipped to meet the needs of today s society. Earthed in biblical integrity, Ellel presents the Gospel in a meaningful and practical manner, releasing healing into peoples lives. Rev. Peter Horrobin Founder & International Director of Ellel Ministries Ellel Ministries took its name from the first building acquired for the work - Ellel Grange. The name Ellel means All Hail in Old English, and in Hebrew it means Towards God.

3 The History 3 How it all began The vision for Ellel Ministries was planted in the heart of its founder, Peter Horrobin, many years before the work began. For ten years, Peter prayed fervently for a biblical understanding of the healing ministry which he knew was to become his life s calling. A committed group began to pray regularly with him for the establishment of the work which was later to become Ellel Ministries. A home for the Ministry On 31st October 1986 Ellel Grange, a country house in the North West of England, was acquired in a miraculous way. Nearly half a million pounds was required for the property and its contents and on the completion date, as Peter sat at his desk and totalled up the gifts and loans that were available, he could hardly believe his eyes. The income that had been received exceeded the amount needed by just 6! God had worked a miracle, the building was purchased, and the work began. Moving on In the years since 1986 Ellel Ministries has grown rapidly, in response to an increasing worldwide need. There are over 300 full-time workers, and a regular ministry team of over 350 volunteer associates. Through its centres around the world, Ellel Ministries serves the Body of Christ, providing retreats, courses, schools, church visits and conferences. At the heart of the Ministry is a desire to see the Church trained and equipped to do all that God has commanded. This has been the most significant 20 days that I have experienced in my 25 years as a Christian. The teachers were real, loving and humble - a feeling of safety, security and love. The Lord did an amazing work within me. He brought healing to my broken heart. I can thank the Lord for his healing touch and for the love He gave to me. I have felt the weight of emotional pain lifted from me in a surrounding of love. Ellel Ministries is a spiritual goldmine that provides much needed, comprehensive training and prayer ministry - they are a vital adjunct to the work of the Church. Their material and approach is biblically thorough and faithful.

4 4 The Healing Ministry The Healing Ministry Since the beginning of the work, Ellel Ministries has provided opportunities for people to receive help through Healing Services, Healing Retreats and personal ministry appointments. Many thousands of people have received ministry and we have seen God do amazing things in peoples lives as a result. Our aim in all cases is to complement the pastoral care role of the local church in bringing healing and restoration to hurting and broken people. Healing Retreats The work that God established at Ellel Grange began with offering Healing Retreats to people in need of help. Healing Retreats are held over a three-day period and are a special opportunity to receive personal prayer ministry and teaching which covers key biblical principles related to receiving healing for spirit, soul and body. As part of the mission work of Ellel Ministries, Healing Retreats are offered free of charge to delegates although donations to cover the costs are always much appreciated. I have been a Christian for 18 years and have never experienced such loving ministry. God broke through and delivered me! Best Ministry Practice Our Ministry Team consists of full-time staff and volunteers who are trained to follow the highest standards of ministry practice as described in the Ellel Ministries Standard Ministry Procedures. This code covers issues such as the theological foundation for ministry, requirements and desired qualities of a Ministry Team member, guidelines for recruitment of Ministry Team members, where the ministry should take place and guidelines for ministry procedure and practice. We aim to exercise responsible leadership of the Ministry in keeping with the vision of the work, under the direction of the Executive Leadership of the international ministry. The Executive Leadership also seek advice and help from an independent team of advisors known as the Support and Advisory Group.

The biblical teaching reflects the many years of active ministry experience during which God has shown wonderful keys to healing in many different situations. 7 Into the World 7 Into the World Although started in the UK, Ellel Ministries has now become an international ministry. Nationals from many different countries have attended schools and training events and experienced healing and transformation in their own lives. As a result many have invited us to run conferences and events in their home countries and eventually open Ellel Centres there. As the opportunities arise and doors open, we have responded to these requests and there are now established Ellel works in Australia, South Africa, Germany, Hungary (with a mission work stretching eastwards to beyond Siberia), Norway, The Netherlands, Sweden, France, USA, Holland, India, Singapore, Malaysia and Canada. Many of the requests for help come from third world countries such as India, African nations and the former countries of the Soviet Union, where many individuals struggle with the consequences of abuse and trauma. They need to be taught how to apply the keys to healing that God has shown us, but generally do not have the financial resources to cover the costs involved. Supporting the Work The ability to maintain this mission work, to sponsor students on our training schools and to respond to new requests for help is dependent upon donation income. I would recommend Ellel s training for all prospective counsellors and health-care workers.
