In this way the healing ministry is fulfilled within the Body of Christ as an integral part of Christ s commission to proclaim the Kingdom of God, make disciples, heal the sick and set the captives free. The varying lengths and content of these courses are designed to meet different callings, training needs and financial circumstances. As one student summed it up, I came with the specific goal to be equipped to counsel others. That I have received. But God has also met with me and healed and restored me in amazing ways, so now I can minister to others in the sincerity of my own experience. All longer-term courses provide teaching interspersed with dynamic times of worship, lively interaction, discussion and small group work with experienced leaders. Personal healing and growth are always testified to by students. Whilst there will be opportunities to receive ministry arising out of the teaching, these courses are not designed for those with deep personal problems who are seeking help only for themselves. 2 38 The Ellel Ministries Diploma in Christian Healing & Discipleship THE ELLEL DIPLOMA The commission Jesus gave to the Church for the whole of time was to go into all the world and make disciples... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matthew 28:19-20). Jesus taught his own disciples to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick (Luke 9:1-2). Therefore, teaching about healing and making disciples is foundational to living the Christian life and a primary training element of the Christian Church. The Diploma Course provides different routes through which students from across the world may begin up to four terms of study and training. Satisfactory completion will lead to achieving the Ellel Ministries Diploma in Christian Healing and Discipleship. All of the longer-term schools (20 Day School, Modular A&B, Flagship School or NETS ) may be used towards gaining the first stage of the Diploma. The Diploma can be completed by attending Terms 2 to 4 of the NETS programme at Ellel Pierrepont in the UK. The Ellel Diploma offers: A Christ-centred learning programme Quantifiable goals and student progression A progressive system of learning and growing in spiritual gifting A study programme suiting the needs and abilities of the individual Incorporation of practical and written evaluation Parity with other Christian study programmes Flexibility in allocating Advance Standing for different personal experience The Diploma follows seven major teaching themes. As students progress from their initial start point, each theme is developed. Practical, applied experiences, such as ministering on a Healing Retreat, consolidate the teaching. Each term has specific elements that contribute towards the Diploma qualification. There are two standard elements that apply to every term attending tutorials and groups and keeping a reflective journal. Elements in NETS Terms 2 to 4 involve both practical work and written work. The sum total of the written work over the four terms would be the equivalent of a 10,000 word dissertation. As an alternative, students in may undertake and complete a 10,000 word dissertation on an agreed aspect of Christian healing and discipleship. 3 The 20 Day School Held at Ellel Africa, Ellel Netherlands, Ellel Australia and Ellel Scotland (2009) Disciples of Jesus are commanded by Him to go in His power and authority to proclaim Kingdom truth and administer healing and deliverance. This 20 Day School provides a concentrated programme of teaching, followed by some practical ministry experience designed to help equip disciples of Jesus to exercise His commands and move into greater personal wholeness. This school is primarily designed for those who desire to be further equipped in their calling to minister to those in need of the healing touch of Jesus but who cannot take time out from their busy schedules for a longer period of residential training. The teaching seeks to establish the truths of the Gospel more deeply into individual lives. Many Christians who are struggling to serve the Lord because of personal difficulties will find they can also apply these truths to help bring wholeness into their own lives as well as into the lives of others. The School Programme The first two weeks of the school provide core biblical teaching on the healing ministry of Jesus. This lays an essential scriptural base for understanding Kingdom principles in relation to healing. The application of those principles to common problems in people s lives is then explored. During part of the last week of the school there will be practical experience of the healing ministry under the supervision of the Ellel Ministry Team. The 20 Day School is equivalent to part A of the Modular School. Part 1 - Biblical Teaching Authority and power of Jesus Moving under the anointing of the Holy Spirit Wholeness in body, soul and spirit Achieving a Godly sense of acceptance and belonging Healing from emotional damage Restoring the human spirit Renewing mindsets, belief systems and behaviour Healing from the consequences of trauma Freedom from ungodly ties and generational iniquity Deliverance ministry and how to gain freedom from demonic bondage Freedom from fear and anxiety Right relationships and Godly expression of sexuality Principles of prayer ministry for healing Part 2 - Practical Experience The teaching covered in the first part of the school is reinforced during this last week, including three days for practical experience of prayer ministry, both through giving to others and receiving for oneself. During this time you will work alongside experienced Ellel Ministry Team members who will be there to guide and encourage you in the practice of prayer ministry. Ellel Ministries centres provide a safe environment for learning to move under God s authority and power in healing. The 20 Day School will be held at Ellel Africa from 21 Jun - 10 Jul 2008, at Ellel Netherlands from 17 Jul - 5 Aug 2008 and at Ellel Australia from 8-28 Sep The school in the Netherlands will be taught in English with Dutch and German translation. 4 40 The Modular School MODULAR SCHOOL The modules are progressive in their teaching content and for this reason students are encouraged to go through them in the established order, culminating in the Healing Workshop which gives practical experience in the healing ministry alongside experienced Ellel Ministry Team members. The modules have been selected to provide teaching and understanding in manageable units, as well as inspiring and encouraging personal growth, healing and restoration. This is vital for equipping God s people to minister His healing power and love out of a real understanding and personal experience. Students who have already been through the Modular School have discovered that their own The Modular School is specifically designed for those whose commitments do not allow for more intensive periods of residential training and study. It is run at Ellel Grange and Glyndley Manor as a series of ten weekend courses and at Ellel Scotland as three one-week events, designed to encourage and challenge in a gentle and sensitive way. individual walk with the Lord has deepened and their relationship with Jesus has also been enhanced and enlarged. In addition, as their own foundations have become more solid, their individual callings have been confirmed. The Modular School has dedicated tutors who are available to facilitate discussions during tutorial sessions. These do not form part of normal training courses - they are a special feature of the Modular School. Students find these to be a place of love, acceptance and comradeship as well as a place where the learning process is enhanced. The tutors also issue assignment work to those who wish to carry out further study. However, homework assignments are not compulsory. 5 The Modular School - Part B For those who complete Part A of the Modular School, there is a follow-on series (Part B) designed to build on the understanding gained, consisting of nine weekend modules and one Healing Workshop. These cover the major areas of need among hurting and broken people while some go into greater depth in specific areas. Students on Part B have the opportunity to take what they learn and apply it in prayer ministry situations. 6 42 The 9 Week Flagship School Held at Ellel Grange and Ellel Pierrepont (as of the NETS School) 9-WEEK FLAGSHIP SCHOOL The 9 Week School is Ellel Ministries flagship training programme covering all of the core elements of the healing and deliverance ministries. It will change your life and prepare and equip you to be a vessel of God s healing grace into a needy world. The training and biblical teaching you will receive on the 9 Week School encompasses the fruit and experience of over 20 years in pioneering healing, deliverance and discipleship ministries. This school offers the opportunity to: Receive teaching and gain understanding of key life-transforming principles Apply these key principles of healing and discipleship into your own life Come alongside our experienced ministry team and begin to help others apply these principles into their lives The School Format The 9 Week School includes about 125 teaching sessions and some 60 sessions related to the practical outworking of the teaching. This practical outworking includes a number of ministry sessions interspersed throughout the teaching modules giving delegates the opportunity to respond to the teaching, small groups and open forum discussions. There are also sessions in which delegates receive personal ministry in healing workshops and there is the opportunity to come alongside members of our ministry team to minister on two, 3 day Healing Retreats. Delegates invariably testify that the experience gained through the practical sessions reinforces the truth and reality of all that they have heard during the teaching sessions. Delegates leave the school encouraged and excited about putting the principles they have learnt into practice as they seek to be used by God to help and pray for others. Recreation The school structure and environment at Ellel centres provide a wonderful setting for fellowship with other delegates. 8 44 The NETS School (6-12 months) The International Discipleship School, held at Ellel Pierrepont The Luke Nine Eleven Training School (NETS) is the in-depth international training school of Ellel Ministries, providing a comprehensive life-discipleship course. The NETS programme is founded on Luke 9:11 in which Jesus welcomed, taught and healed the people. Every NETS school builds a unique sense of belonging to a family and gives students the opportunity to work, live and learn together in a loving, safe and supervised environment which is vital for training. Those who come on the school testify that life is Never Ever The Same after NETS! NETS NETS is about taking time out to listen to God, to draw closer to Him and to be equipped to do His work. 9 The Four-Term NETS Programme The complete four-term NETS programme runs twice a year, giving students the option of starting in April or October. Two schools run concurrently, allowing and 2 students to come alongside those enrolled on Terms 3 and 4 of the previous school. Students can complete all the terms within 12 months, or choose to join one NETS school for the foundational terms and return to complete the other terms at a later stage. The foundational six-months school, consisting of Terms 1 and 2, concentrates on the foundations of healing, deliverance and discipleship. 45 Certification Students satisfactorily completing Terms 1 and 2 will receive the Ellel Pierrepont NETS Foundational Certificate. Students satisfactorily completing will receive the Ellel Pierrepont Mission Term Certificate. All students who finish Term 4 will receive a Certificate of Completion. Those who demonstrate an applied outworking of their learning over the four terms of NETS through ongoing assessment or dissertation will be eligible for the Ellel Ministries Diploma Dates Term One The first term of NETS follows the general curriculum of the 9 Week Flagship School. Foundational Bible-based teaching combined with tutor groups, Healing Retreats and practical ministry experience develop a sure foundation. The term runs over 10 weeks with those extras that make the NETS experience so different! Term Two The second term leads the students into greater healing and discipleship, teaching in-depth, practical healing and deliverance ministry skills. Church Visits and Healing Retreats are an important part of this term as students are offered the opportunity to go and minister to the wider church body. Students grow in the confidence of God s ability to meet today s needs through application in various ministry situations, all within the security of an Ellel event. Other students are involved in drama, ministry or worship. Outreach evangelism experience in a local town is included plus a two-weeks mission trip to another country - previous missions have travelled to Ghana, Kenya, Thailand and South Africa. Term Four completes the Diploma Course programme. Concentrating on developing calling and giftings, it presents a variety of experiences to fully equip students to take the healing of Jesus into the nations. The students are challenged to look at How do I lead others in four major areas of calling - Teaching, Leadership, Ministry and Prayer - investigated in depth, through seminars, workshops and practical experience. 11 From NETS to the Nations When students leave Pierrepont at the end of NETS, they often feel called to take the love of Jesus to nations other than their own. Two of our former students from the UK have set up organisations to bring hope and healing to the disadvantaged in Africa. Jan Ransom (ret d Lt Col) From NETS, I went straight out into the jungles of Borneo to teach and minister, sharing everything I had learnt at Pierrepont. While there, the Lord gave me a vision for Africa and a few months later, myself and a small group of trustees founded Flame International. We now take teams into war-torn and ex-conflict countries, teaching and ministering the love of God to pastors and leaders, the broken and traumatised, the poor and the oppressed. In 2007 we ministered in Rwanda, Northern Uganda and Southern Sudan, amongst others. I now work part-time as a GP, and this year I have also started a Kingdom business - Just Cards Direct.
