The theme is Jars of Clay taken from II Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. Learning workshops, worship, main speakers, along with a number of meals are scheduled. Find out more at Secondly, the NALC annual Luther Week is August th in Denver, Colorado. The annual Women of the NALC event is also happening at the same time. Go to for further details. One of the topics of discussion and vote this year will be a proposal to add some regional bishops to our lean NALC structure. By adding regional bishops we would be able to have a closer relationship to the national church. Having more bishops would make the bishop s task more available to us. How are YOU intentionally growing as a DISCIPLE, an apprentice, a student of Jesus himself? Consider the acronym at the following link. Each letter represents a facet of being TRANSFORMED and TRAINED by Jesus himself. For you, which facet needs to be strengthened? How will you grow in that facet? DISCIPLE LINK: Being a disciple is not about earning our Lord s love and salvation for that's available for free if one wants it; rather, it is about being transformed and trained so that you can be effective for continuing Jesus kingdom work. Being a disciple and follower of Jesus is lifelong. It requires, "a long obedience in the same direction," with daily perseverance. NEWCOMERS are ALWAYS WELCOME to all opportunities! COMING THIS SUMMER WHAT YOU CAN DO PRACTICAL TRAINING To Grow and Nurture the Faith of Your Grandchildren or any Youth or Child with whom you spend time!! SUNDAYS: ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL, 9 AM Studying God s powerful Word, the Holy Scriptures! Come and be inspired by God s Word! TUESDAYS: TIMOTHY PROJECT BIBLE Study: 10am Taught by Pastor Wendy Reading & Studying the entire Bible over three years: No Bible experience needed. Recognize the personal practical voice of Jesus in His word. Learn a simple thorough study method to fully understand Scripture. Listen and Get to Know Jesus! Practice Praying! NEWCOMERS are always welcome. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Timothy 3:16-17 (hence, the name: Timothy Project Bible Study) WEDNESDAYS: THE APPRENTICE SERIES: 7 pm, Led by Pastor Wendy Growing with Jesus: The Good & Beautiful God Using Scripture, soul training exercises, comfortable conversation, we will continue on with the Apprentice series by James Bryan Smith (available on Amazon). This is an awesome opportunity to be equipped and become a more effective kingdom person, deepen your prayer life, hear personally from Jesus in His word and allow Him to transform your relationships into His image, will and ways.
