SAVE THE DATE The St. Paul Fish Fry will be held on Saturday, October 6, Proceeds will go towards support of the Hope Center, the Woodburn Christian Children's Home, and Ascension Lutheran School in Gary, Indiana. Prayer Chain Requests Contact Kim Ternet at Rally Day & Ice Cream Social Join us for Sunday School Rally on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 9:15 and be sure to come back for the Ice Cream Social at 4:30! CLS Clean Up Day Calling all able bodied men, women, and children who want to help clean up the grounds at CLS to prepare for the upcoming school year. A clean up day will be held on Sunday, August 12, from 1PM to 6PM. Please bring a rake, pitch fork, shovel, yard tools, wrenches, and weed trimmer if you have one, as well as an eager attitude to lend a hand. We will be pulling weeds, dressing flower beds, trimming, and turning over mulch on playground, as well as removing and repairing basketball hoops and playground equipment, and working on the prayer garden. Food will be served 11:00am-7:00pm (or till we run out). Friday, August 17, will be Andy's Knockout Chicken with sides/dessert. Saturday, August 18 will be pulled pork with sides / dessert. Please sign up to volunteer for shifts to serve food and also to provide desserts for these meals. Funds raised will be used to help the youth group attend the National Youth Gathering in the Summer Lutheran World Relief Project Promise We are currently collecting items for Personal Care Kits and School Kits and soon Baby Care Kits. See the lists on the bulletin board for items needed. There will be collection boxes available for your donations.
