1 Zion Lutheran Church Resurrection of Our Lord April 1, 2018 Welcome as we gather to worship Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord and Savior. Death could not hold him. The grave could not keep him. He is alive. And because Christ lives, we too have victory - even over death. May you experience the joy of Easter this day and may the peace of Easter stay with you always. Welcome, friend!

PRAYER OF THE DAY God of mercy, we no longer look for Jesus among the dead, for he is alive and has become the Lord of life. Increase in our minds and hearts the risen life we share with Christ, and help us to grow as your people toward the fullness of eternal life with you, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate from the virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried. We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Alleluia! PRAYERS of INTERCESSION Leader Lord, in your mercy Hear our prayer. We share in christ s Meal WORDS OF INSTITUTION THE LORD S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

4 RECEIVING OF HOLY COMMUNION All are welcome at the Table of Grace, you do not need to be a member or even Lutheran. Children are invited forward for a blessing. Tomorrow, on Easter Monday, April 2 nd, helpers are needed to load the truck for the Lutheran World Relief project. Zionsville once again is the collection station for boxes of quilts and supplies for all area churches. If you could possibly assist or if you have questions please call Bernadine It s time again to update our church directory. We will need someone to help coordinate the members photo sessions; the church council is asking for volunteers to help coordinate this project.
