But what is that energy-giving, life-breathing force that inspires and empowers us? How do we put the wind in our sails again, so we can get unstuck, reset our compass, and redirect our course? Fresh Air reveals how breath - the breath of God - is the essence of life as it s meant to be. Fueled by the breath of God, we are not only refreshed in spirit ourselves; we have the power to create a life-giving environment of freedom and joyful purpose around us. Bold and encouraging, Fresh Air offers breathing lessons for those who long for a cool breeze to resuscitate their spirit, bring them closer to God, and make them enthusiastic, contagious life-breathers to those around them. They will learn how to get rid of worry and anxiety, and begin to design a God-centered life taking ownership of their relationship with Jesus. 24 In Exodus 18, Moses was the sole leader of Israel, carrying all the responsibilities of leading God s people. Because he was doing it all alone, the people were not being served well, and Moses was getting burned out. God spoke to him through his father-in-law, Jethro, with very clear directions, raise up leaders to assist you in sharing ministry responsibilities. This Old Testament principle still works and is still God s heart for his church today. To be an effective church, reaching our community and helping people grow, we must be deepening our bench and raising up more people in leadership in all areas of ministry here at Cornerstone (kids, youth, small groups, worship, tech, café, welcome, etc.). Many are being called to leadership - they feel the tug - but don t respond because of different excuses. But to LEAD simply means to help people move forward. If God is calling you to serve in leadership (to help people move forward in their faith), in any capacity, LEADER ORIENTATION is your next step. In this 1-time, 90-minute class, we will introduce to you the Four Values of Cornerstone Chapel as well as teach some foundational leadership principles.
