Harmon's Message HOMECOMING WEEKEND CELEBRATION 2005 TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH October 7, 8, 9 Join us as we celebrate our 112 th year in witness and worship! Last year Trinity Episcopal Church celebrated its first Homecoming Service with guest preacher, The Reverend Paul Abernathy. We had great preaching, delicious food, and wonderful fellowship with many members we had not seen in a long time, along with a host of friends and family. It was such a success that we decided to expand the Homecoming Celebration this year to include a three-day weekend of wonderful activities on October 7, 8 and 9. On Friday, October 7, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., we will have a Jazz Night Out in the Parish Hall featuring the Jonathan Davis Projekt, a local contemporary jazz ensemble. Tickets are $25.00, which include great entertainment and delicious hors d oeuvres. Saturday,October 8, we will have a Health Fair and Family Day with lots of free family fun activities, as well as health screening and information. And on Sunday, On October 9 at our 9:30 a.m. Worship Service, we ll conclude our Homecoming Celebration with The Rt. Rev d Richard B. Martin, Retired Suffragan Bishop of Long Island as our guest preacher. The 9:30 a.m. service will be followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Our theme this year is Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name, Psalm 103:1. To commemorate this special occasion, we are selling ads in a Trinity 2005 Homecoming Celebration Souvenir Book from now until September 11. You can purchase space as follows: business card ($50), quarter page ($100) half page ($200), full corporate page ($1,000), or you can have your name listed under Words of Praise and Thanksgiving for $25. Examples of words of praise and thanksgiving are special words of congratulations to recent graduates, in memory of someone you love, or in thanksgiving for a birthday or anniversary. The Souvenir Book will provide you with many years of fond memories of this special event as well as provide you with a wonderful avenue for publicizing your services. We will need a camera-ready copy of your advertisement, which will appear in black and white in the Souvenir Book. The Homecoming Committee will have a table set up in the Parish Hall after each service until September 11 to assist you with placing your ads and purchasing tickets. We invite all church family members, past and present, along with their family, friends and neighbors to join us in this joyous three-day Christian fellowship.
