2 Page 2 From the Pastor WEEKLY REPORT September 18, 2016 It is amazing to think the whole human race was created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Sin pushes us off course, but it does not change God s overall purpose in the least. When we experience salvation, we are brought into the realization of God s great purpose for mankind and our own individual lives. The love of God, the very nature of God, is introduced into us, and is focused in John 3:16 God so loved the world Sunday School Enrollment 651 Attendance 369 Homebound Enrollment 22 Weekly Budget Requirement $17, Received this Week $16, Building Fund Received this Week $ Received this Month $1, We struggle to remain open to the fact of God s creative purpose for us, and not blend it with our own intentions. If we do, it may be painful when God corrects our path. The purpose for which the believer is created is for serving, and by serving, God is glorified. Once we realize through the salvation of Jesus Christ we are made perfectly fit for God, we understand why Jesus Christ is so determined in His demands. He demands obedience of His servants, because He has put us into the very nature of God. We must keep our focus on God s purpose for our lives, glorify Him! It was great to see Mackenzie Denman follow the Lord in His instruction to be baptized this Sunday. What a great testimony! The Lord is busy at IBC! Praying for focus! Bro. Old boy) diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes Tammy Childs (aunt of Torie Smith) receiving radiation for brain cancer Fred Burgess - (91 yr. old father of Betty James) broken ribs are less painful; he is on oxygen 24 hours/day at his retirement facility LynAnn Klutts- saw doctor today for back problems Gwyn Tucker - (Wilma Moore s mother) recovering from mastectomy Ezra Raul Villarreal (grandson of JoAnn) delivered prematurely at 23 weeks September 8, weighing only 1lb., 3oz., and 12 inches long; starting steroid therapy today; pray for no side effects Roy Landry - had 3 surgeries at once, hiatal hernia, abdominal hernia and gallbladder removed Thank You from M.L.
