Hymn: Heavenly Father, We Appreciate You Vs. 1-3 Communion Message: How God Sees Me (Part 4) Pastor Allen Foxworth Benediction: Hymn: Family of God (Insert) ******Volunteers, our church could not function without the help of our silent army of volunteers, special thanks to all who come early to help set up the area, greet everyone, and to those angels who bring goodies, working behind the scenes with no reimbursement but an occasional thank you. We are truly blessed by everyone who gives their time and talents performing all their services to the Glory of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Flowers are provided by Pat Tutton. Goodies are provided by Sue Mitchell and Nancy Miller. All donated monies, whether they are directly given or placed in the offering plates are used for Board approved MFL Church service projects, charities, church fellowship time, equipment, and items for worship services.

7 SPECIAL ANNOUNCMENT The Election of New MFL Board Members Each year during the months of October and November we ask our congregation by paper ballet to nominate people to serve on the MFL Church Board, reelecting or replacing a present member whose term is expiring. Once nominations are received, the actual voting takes place in mid- November. Due to the board s normal rotation, this year we will have 3 positions requiring a vote as Gay Connors, Sue Montgomery s, and JoAnn Thompson s terms are expiring. If you know of someone, including yourself, who you feel would be an asset in the guidance of our church, forms are placed on the back table each Sunday starting October 23, rd through the third Sunday in November. Any member whose term is expiring, is eligible to be nominated to serve another term. Once the votes are tallied, the people with the most nominations will be asked to serve. Our Board meets on the 3 rd Monday of the month, to oversee the working operations of our church. The only requirements are the person nominated believes and endorses these two doctrines: the Bible is the word of God, and belief in Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. FACE BOOK: Mid-Florida Lakes Church CALENDAR OF UPCOMING EVENTS Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 Election Day Sunday, Nov 20, 2016 Communion Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 Special/Thanksgiving Pot Faith 11:30 AM Last Sunday to bring Non Perishable Goods Monday Nov. 21, 2016, 6:00PM Church Bd. Meeting Nominations Tallied Thursday, November 24, Thanksgiving For the next 4 Sundays our church will be collecting Non-Perishable goods to help families in need. Our congregation knows that prayer works! Just look around you! Contact Nancy Miller at , Or Pam Rudolf in Nancy s absence, if you have someone you would like to add or delete from our current list. We have many shut-ins, or people who may be hurting physically or in their heart. If you know of someone, remember a cheery card, phone call, text, or visit may be just the medicine they need. Please remember to pray for the people on our prayer list, their caregivers, our first responders, members of the armed services and their families and take a moment to give your thoughts and prayers to those not only on our enclosed prayer list, but any person you may hear of who is in need.

9 SEEING MYSELF AS GOD SEES ME Seeing Through God s Eyes Part 3 Do you have eyes, and not see, and do you have ears, and not hear? Mark 8:18 (HCSB) GOD CREATED US TO BE IN TWO KINDS OF RELATIONSHIPS With With 1. Serve without 3. Serve with Jesus replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. Matthew 22:37-40 Answers: RELATIONSHIPS; OTHERS; GOD; GOD COMPLAINING; COMPASSION; CONCERN Jesus knew that His hour had come to leave this world and return to His Father. He now showed the disciples the full extent of His love So He got up from the table, took off His robe, wrapped a towel around His waist, and poured water into a basin. Then He began to wash the disciples feet and to wipe them with the towel He had around Him I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you John 13:1, 4, 5, Serve with Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus Then He told them plainly, Lazarus is dead Jesus wept. John 11:1-44 Note: Last week we spoke about how God sees people with compassion. That since HE sees people with compassion, we should be compassionate toward others. One way we can show compassion is to serve others.
