Third Sunday in Lent~ March 24 Worship Notes: If you are visiting, please sign the guest registry on the counters outside the sanctuary doors. If it is uncomfortable for you to stand during the service, please feel free to remain seated. Hearing-assistance devices are available from the ushers. Children are always welcome to be part of worship; worship bags are available at the back of the sanctuary. The Nursery is not staffed, but is open for parents to use with their children. The nursery is located outside the sanctuary doors. Prayer requests may be shared in the book by the Prayer area or on the card in the pew racks. GATHERING TOGETHER PRE-SERVICE MUSIC ~ Joyful Journey Worship Team ~ Seed of Life WELCOME CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS L: Blessed be the holy Trinity, one God, who gathers us in the wilderness to redeem us, anoint us, and make us new. C: Amen. L: In these forty days, let us be honest, confess our sin, and receive God s promise of mercy. Silence is kept for reflection. L: God at the margins, C: We have wandered far from your home; again and again, we lose our way. We turn inward, afraid of the world around us. We forget that you have saved your people before and promise to do so again. Do not remember the deeds of our past, but turn our faces toward the future, where your forgiveness is sure, your welcome is clear, and your love overflows. Amen. L: Like a hen who gathers her chicks, God embraces you in tender care. Like manna in the desert, God feeds you with surprising mercy. Community Lenten Lunches and Worship Wednesdays through April noon at United Church of Christ, 920 N. Main, Spearfish Synod-Wide Women s Retreat at Outlaw Ranch: April 5-7 (Friday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 11:00 a.m.) Come to Outlaw Ranch for a weekend with other women to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and explore ideas and conversation together. There will be sessions led by a resource person, along with plenty of laughter, singing, free time, outdoor activities, meaningful worship and inspiration, and rest. Come alone or with friends and find kindred spirits. Give yourself the gift of time and renewal in this holy place. What do you think? Camp News ELEMENTARY ADVENTURE AT OUTLAW RANCH Sunday, April 28, 2019, 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A day for youth in Kindergarten through 6th grade to experience Outlaw Ranch. Bring yourself and a friend to an afternoon of fun at camp. Sign up to ride with, or follow, Miss Beth to this great event. The sign up is on the bulletin board next to the elevator. Register for this event at under Outlaw Ranch Events. Cost includes supper and programming. Youth - $17 Adult - $13, a $10 non-refundable per person deposit is included in fee.
