If it is uncomfortable for you to stand during the service, please feel free to remain seated. Hearing-assistance devices are available from the ushers. Children are always welcome to be part of worship; worship bags are available at the back of the sanctuary. The Nursery is not staffed, but is open for parents to use with their children. LUTHERAN CAMPUS MINISTRY MOMS GROUP will hold a Pie Auction on November 18 from 1-3 pm at The Living Room (corner of Yale and Jackson Street). We will have pies for sale as well and a free will donation ice cream social. Come buy pies and eat ice cream! The proceeds will go to both the Amanda May scholarship fund and the LCM Moms group Camp fund. We welcome a few volunteers to donate pies if you like to bake! Please contact me. You can pick one up at the church office just by asking. If you would like to join our yarn ministry, we meet every Monday from 1:00-3:00 PM in the fellowship hall. We could use your help ~ EVERYONE IS WELCOME!! MANNA MEALS 2 GO ~ Just a reminder that there are meals in the freezer for anyone to deliver as you wish. EQUAL EXCHANGE PRODUCTS are on display in the case in the fellowship hall located by the front door. If you need a gift for someone or are interested in purchasing any of the products it would be appreciated. Everything is priced and a can for donations is located in the display case also. Great chocolate bars, various teas and coffee products are available for sale. SUNDAY TRANSPORTATION TO WORSHIP FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, call the church office at before 2:00 PM on Friday to request a ride. Ever thought about joining our Quilters? We have many jobs, sewing and nonsewing, available. Currently we are in desperate need of help with tying the quilts!! If you can tie a knot, we ll show you the rest! We meet every Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM downstairs in the Quad. All are welcome! Also, the quilters are in need of crochet thread, all colors, to tie the quilts. Donations can be left at the office. 7 Angel Tree tags available on Sundays November 25 and December 2 Thank you for your support of the annual OSLC Angel Tree program since 1996! Gifts are needed this year for children in the Northern Hills whose parents are in prison, children on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, children and their mothers at the Artemis House shelter, Lutheran Campus Ministry at BHSU single moms and their children, and seniors in our church who many not have family nearby. This year, the tags for Pine Ridge will be on a separate tree for your convenience. These tags are for $20 gift cards which will be presented to parents by Pastor Kay in Pine Ridge so parents can purchase the gifts for their children. The gift cards are needed here at OSLC by Dec 3, by 3:00 PM, in order to get them to Pine Ridge in time for their annual family gathering. We will have pre-purchased gift cards at the table for your convenience if you wish to purchase them. All other angel tree gifts must be wrapped and returned to the church by December 10. Thank you for blessing the lives of so many children and making their holiday a bit brighter! 7

Box 526, Spearfish, SD Elaine s ecsohnstad@yahoo.com Allen & Elaine are joining us as Associate Members. The are retired. Allen has three grown children: John Eide, Susan Eide, and Laura Griffith. Elaine has two grown children: Aaron Ohnstad and Christianna Johnson. Allen s interests include reading, especially military history, US Civil War. He enjoys craft beer, walking, reliving old hunting experiences. Elaine s interests include crafts, quilting, hiking, visiting, and helping others. Allen is previously from Pierre, SD and Brandon, SD. Elaine is previously from Gillette, WY and Brandon, SD. They have lived in Spearfish for about 15 months. This will be about the Christmas program so any parents that would like to help should plan on attending too. KIDZONE We had 37 kids for KidZone this week. We wrote letters to Veterans to say thank you for your service; the kids made Thankful Trees to remind them to be thankful for all their blessings and we learned about praying our thanks too! CHRISTMAS PROGRAM NEWS The Christmas program will be December 16 at 10:45. We are practicing Christmas songs during family worship time in November, please be sure to bring your kids at 9:45 each Sunday. FAMILY ADVENT CELEBRATION Our annual Family Advent Celebration will be on Sunday November 25 at 9:45. This family event will be in place of regular Sunday school and guests are welcome too! 10

13 Community Thanksgiving Service The Spearfish Ministerial Association is sponsoring a community Thanksgiving Eve Service Wednesday, November 21 at 6:30 PM at All Angels Episcopal Church, 1044 N 5th St, Spearfish Spearfish churches and ministries participating in the Ministerial Association and various community pastors will lead the service. The Offering received during the service will go to the Spearfish Community Pantry. All are welcome to attend. A Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Our Savior s Lutheran Church Thursday, Nov. 22 at 12:00 noon We invite you to join us for this year s dinner. Cost: free-will donation. Volunteers are needed to provide food, set-up, serve, and clean up. Sign-up sheets are located near the Fireside Room.
