3 Confirmation at Sts. Peter and Paul Confirmation time is set for Sunday, August 7 th at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Let us pray for the Candidates of Confirmation that they may receive the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Namely, Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, Counsel, Respect, Courage, and the love of the Lord. The Seven Gifts lead to the Nine Fruits of the Spirit.Charity, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Modesty and Persistence. Come Holy Spirit. *Confirmation Practice will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 6 th in the Church. Sponsors are welcome. Looking forward to Fair With a grateful heart, Jan Derner, Chairman Knights of Columbus Meeting The Knights of Columbus Monthly Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 3 rd at 7 p.m. in the Catholic School classroom. All Knights are urged to attend. CCW of St. Paul please note change of date Because of conflicting schedules, the usual first Monday of the Month meeting has been moved to Monday, August 15 th at 7 p.m. in the Narthex of the Church at Sts. Peter and Paul. All women are invited to be active members and are invited to attend meetings and activities of the Council of Catholic Women. This was formerly called the Altar Society but has since taken on additional Ministries. You are welcome to call your circle leader for questions of information. Thank you. ETERNAL LIFE We continue to pray for Eternal Life for Jim Hirschman whose Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated this Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. May he find Eternal Life and be welcomed to his Place at the Heavenly Banquet which has been prepared for him.

4 Pictorial Church Directories are available! For all those who submitted a picture or had their picture taken, you can pick up your copy of the Church Directory at the Church Office. Sts Peter and Paul on-line directory is active. You can access the directory on-line at the following address: /churchdirectory.pdf The password is: peterpaul2011 The on-line directory gives you the option to print the directory if you wish, but it will only include the family names with the photo. The detailed information such as the address, phone number, etc., will not be included. If you would like a copy of the roster of information, you will need to contact Marie at the church office for a copy. We will print updated copies once a year. The on-line directory is a living directory and will be updated as new member and activity pictures are received, so keep checking on-line. Due to our shortage of space we ask that you pick up your bowls and pans as soon as possible. Looking ahead Commissioning of Catechists and Students will be included in a 5:00 p.m. Liturgy at St. Joseph s on Wednesday, August 24 th. Peter and Paul. You may give these to Kathy Gorecki or bring it to Sts. Peter and Paul Church. The Diocese is publishing a Parish History for all the Churches in the Diocese. This is in preparation for the 100 th Anniversary of the Grand Island Diocese. We have 60 days to have our material sent in to be included in the Centennial Publication. Thank you for helping preserve our history and pass on our faith heritage to the next generation The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
