An active member, the kind that would be missed? Or are you just content your name is on the list? Do you attend the meeting and mingle with the flock? Or do you sit in the corner and criticize or knock? Do you take an active part to help the work along? Or are you satisfied to be the person who just wants to belong? Do you work on a committee? To do this is no trick. Or do you leave the work to just a few and talk about the clique? So come to meetings often and help with hand and heart. Don t just be a member, take an active part. THOMAS OF CANTERBURY CATHOLIC CHURCH 1522 McCoy Ave, San Jose, California Our Auxiliary will also work with our sponsor Knights on October 27rh, 28th and 29th in their PWID Drive at Lunardis and Safeway. Ladies of Charity invites you to their annual fall lunch and bake sale. Fri nov 17th Becket Hall St Thomas of Canterbury Church 1522 McCoy Ave San Jose at 11:30 Our Auxiliary will participate for the second year in the Ministries Mingle at St. Lucy's Parish in Campbell, scheduled for the weekend of October 21st-22nd. At this event, as part of the groups that support the parish, we set up a table with literature about the Columbiettes and spent time with the parishioners who stop by our table, answering questions about our organization. This allows us to get the word out about our Columbiettes and to try to recruit new members.

7 St Ignatius Loyola #12853 Holy Family Catholic Church 4848 Pearl Avenue San Jose, CA Village House The Village House is a shelter which houses fifteen women at rotating churches in our community. Our parish will be hosting Village House residents for six weeks beginning on November 1, The Columbiettes are actively involved with the parish in planning for the arrival of our guests. To make them feel welcome, two of our talented sister Columbiettes, Linda Vlcek and Carol Pascoe have designed and sewed a beautiful bright and unique quilt for each guest to have and take with them as a remembrance of their stay at Holy Family. Yes, they created fifteen individual quilts to comfort and warm our guests!
