Well did you miss the newsletter last month? What a couple of months it has been, everyone around full of that awful virus that took you down as quick as blinking! I hope everyone had a good February and is fit and well. Did all you romantics out there get your cards and presents from your Romeo or Juliette for Valentines? Lots has gone on in February and more new things coming in March and the future months, keep watching the Newsletter, Facebook, Webpage and Notice Board at the Centre for news updates. We have listened to your comments and are attaching a monthly planner to the newsletter, technology permitting! The picture in the title highlights Easter is just around the corner! Animal Reiki Now Available from the Centre What is Reiki / Animal Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese word for 'Universal Life Energy'. A holistic system which treats the whole being, addressing problems at all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It is not about diagnosis or a substitute for traditional treatment it is complimentary and there to support. Animal reiki can be given to any and every living creature from fish to elephant and is very beneficial. Animals, like us, store emotions and memories and sometimes, some pets have had a very unhappy start in life. Animal reiki offers help with all kinds of stress/anxieties, arthritis and joint problems, depression and hyperactivity and is very therapeutic with elderly pets. So what is the difference between animal reiki and the dozens of other types of reiki available today? The simple answer is not much! Healing is healing after all, however it is packaged. Having said that, there are a couple of key differences to be noted; The first is that we call on the Archangel Ariel to assist with animal reiki, as Ariel has a special connection to the animal kingdom. Ariel's name means 'Lion/lioness of God' and is said to be particularly effective with wild animals. The other significant difference is that animals have an extra chakra, located between the heart and the throat chakra. It is called the 'Brachial Chakra' and is also known as the key animal chakra. The colour associated with this chakra is black.

2 Page 2 March 2016 Ocado s Wellness Day During January, Yvonne and Karen were invited to help out at a Wellness day at Ocado s delivery depot in Dartford. It was the worst day in history for traffic, taking them 3 hours to get there!! The day was to promote healthy living and alternatives to all the delivery men and women. The idea was to give them an opportunity to see what they could do to reduce their stress levels and look at things that could improve their general well being. There was a young student nurse doing Glucose, Cholesterol and blood pressure checks; someone showing them how to make nutritious drinks, someone talking of the benefits of Aloe Vera. Yvonne and Karen were doing a mix of Indian Head Massage, Neck and Shoulder Massage, Reiki and hands on healing. It was a busy hub of drivers coming in and out. Many did not even look their way! What was interesting when they frog marched someone to sit down and have a treatment, they totally relaxed despite the noise and were genuinely surprised at how relaxed they felt. The shame of it was that the men that wanted to come and have a treatment were put off by their peers taking the micky! All light hearted of course but you could see their reluctance to sit just in case. The idea was great, but men, by their very nature, seem to find the whole concept of being helped, difficult. The good thing was, several of the men found out they had diabetes so were able to go and get help.. They will be doing it again but have asked the Centre to assist with the set up to encourage more men to visit without the fear or ridicule! Billy Cook International Medium coming to the Centre! For the first time in our 14 year history, we have booked a high profile medium to come and do an evening of clairvoyance and a one day workshop. We are delighted to say we have Billy Cook from Paignton who has worked all over the world for many years. Yvonne was privileged to have worked on platform with him and Gordon Smith back in the day...not that she is sure he will remember her!! Billy is charismatic and does not hold back! He has worked with many of the great mediums of our time including Colin Fry, and Gordon Smith to name but a few. We do hope you will come and support us on Friday 22nd April for his evening demonstration ( 7.00 rather than the normal 5 entrance. More importantly, his one day Mediumship Workshop on Saturday 23rd April. The workshop is just 40! To book please pay a 10 non refundable deposit with the balance to be paid the week before. We do hope to see more of you on this one off workshop and evening demo. And sadly as always, minimum numbers apply as you can imagine, Paignton is a bit of a drive if you haven t got enough people to even cover your petrol!!! Crystal of the Month Aquamarine The name aquamarine translate to water of the sea and has been used as a talisman by sailors and is said to protect those travelling by sea or during any journeys. Aquamarine is a stone of courage. Its calming energies reduce stress and quiet the mind, It has an affinity with sensitive people. It clarifies perception, sharpens the intellect and clears confusion. Promotes self-expression, soothes fears and increases sensitivity. Wonderful for meditation. Aquamarine is helpful to sore throats, swollen glands and thyroid problems. It regulates hormones and growth, boosts the immune system and alleviates overreactions, such as hayfever or allergies.

3 Coffee Morning with Readers Saturday 23rd July Another first for the centre..an open coffee morning with 6 readers waiting to do a reading for you! We will also have healers on hand for anyone looking for healing coffee, tea, a bite to eat.and all the proceeds going to our nominated charity this year Tree Tops Animal Sanctuary in Whitstable. We have all professional readers who will do a variety of different styles of readings from Tarot to crystal ball to astrology to aurograph drawings! All readings will be 20 per 30 minute reading and will be booked on the day. So to really bring some flavor to the day, Tree Tops are going to bring some flavor of their animals along to meet you all!! How cool is that! Until nearer the time we won t know who is coming as they are always trying to find new homes for their fur family so it will be a surprise to us al. Please do come along and support this special day. If you can t make it, please tell others about it so they can come. If this works out successfully for all, we may well make it an annual thing. Page 3 Just a point to note, if you want to donate anything for tree tops, food, blankets, old toys, leads, etc please feel free to bring them up to us anytime. We have a box in the foyer which we are filling up to take down to Tree Tops, this is ongoing through the year.
