The same handouts and pictures are in both books, just the teaching manual gives information about setting up a practice and how to advertise for classes. I think I was looking for more information like maybe quizzes or tests.i don't regret my purchase at all, it is still handy. Good manual though it covers the ground that Essential Reiki covers and not too much more. Read the reviews on Essentil Reiki if you haven't read that one then make up your mind which would suit

Having previously purchased Diane Stein's "Essential Reiki" I was looking forward to seeing what additional information she would provide in the teaching manual, as Essential Reiki was extremely thorough, and covered the passing of attunements, etc already. In a word, nothing. This book is a huge disappointment.the teaching manual does not offer new insight or information in relation to reiki or what one would experience as a teacher. As a matter of fact it pretty much just highlights what was covered in Essential Reiki. It offers lots of practical suggestions such as starting the class on time, practicing attunements on pets and family first, only teach one person at a time until you are comfortable..all the way to, when working with a group, the practicalities of where to hold the reiki sessions and printing up certificates. But in terms of Reiki itself, there is nothing new.sadly, for those who are taking reiki with Diane, as a condition of enrollment, it is imperative that you purchase a number of her books, this one included. Unfortunately this is not much more than a money grab where this book is concerned.however, I would recommend, in addition to Diane Stein's Essential Reiki, that one purchse Reiki for Life by Penelope Quest. Quest does not show the symbols in the book, but does cover other important areas that Stein doesn't, such as working with crystals, self cleansing, developing sensitivity, and other methods from the Japanese tradition. The Complete Reiki Tutor by Tanmaha Honervogt is also good, particularly with working with chakras and, my favorite, creating a healing box to send distant healing simultaneously to numerous people which can be programmed to repeat daily, on the hour, or as frequently as you wish. Diane Stein has written some great books on Reiki and burst the bubble of secrecy that surrounded this ancient form of healing, so the information in her books is invaluable. Unfortunately, she makes it very obvious that she hates men and she LOVES to talk about her own experiences to the point of patting herself on the back.i DO recommend the book for all the important information it has in it and she has published the Reiki symbols, which not many people do. You just may have to skim all the personal crap to get to the good stuff. This is a valuable tool for teachers of Reiki. I have Diane's book "Essential Reiki" which I have had since before my Reiki I initiation. I have used this for teaching & attuning others. I'm so glad to find she wrote a manual just for the teachers of it. This with the charts & diagrams inside to copy for students is just great!

4 I really like this book, actually I love it, it is a great teaching tool and I am blessed and grateful to Diane Stein for being ahead of her time and publishing the symbols and section for you to have handouts.the only thing that I would have done a little different, is outlined the book better instead of paragraphs. But that is just my corporate side talking and maybe I would have had it perforated in the hand out section. So i didn't have to bend the book, cause I like it! Having said that, I am positive the reason she did not was so that you don't loose it.too bad you couldn't have an updated version that came with a CD / DVD, where you could store the PDF on your computer or had the images available to download with your purchase. Who knows I am sure if I dig someone has already downloaded them to the internet. I am thinking of investing in the DVD - it should be a box set. This is the usual Diane Stein quality, covering the Reiki Class subject in detail. She'll walk you thru the do's and dont's of doing Reiki Attunement classes. If you are ready to start, this will save you time and money. If you need this book, you already know you need it. Order it.recommended to all Reiki Masters. Thank you for such fast delivery.
