7 A MESSAGE FROM MOM AND DAD If you ever find it hard to believe in yourself, just look around for Ruchika and read her book time and again. Her book is sure to give strength, guidance and light to anyone who reads it. Ruchika is classy and simple. She often says that the taste of success doubles when we start to embrace each failure. She is a very silent performer and lets her work speak for itself. Owing to her unique thoughts, different belief system and authentic philosophy of life, I believe she is a true freedom seeker. There was a time when she started viewing herself as the victim of every circumstance, became full of complaints and suffered depression. However, she came out bravely and broke the silence, stigma around depression. The qualities in her that kept her going even during the times of adversity were her openness to learning new things and her acceptance of self. She kept on pursuing higher qualification, befriended the books and involved herself in jobs. In the end, our hard work, proper education and experiences in life opens the doors to success. One fine day, Ruchika dared to dream for her and slowly started carving the design of a beautiful life that she wanted to live. 9 OUR MESSAGE TO ALL THE PARENTS Dear Parents Every daughter is a GEM. All she needs from her parents is their wholehearted support and encouragement. So I request every parent to trust their daughter(s) completely, build confidence in her and let her establish her identity on her own. Just show her the way to right education and let her make her own morals, ideals and values based on her own experiences. Don't condition her mind with the fixed norms. Let her identify with her uniqueness. Don't compel her to be fake and over pleasing just because she is a girl. Respect her individuality. Let her be the MIRACLE that she is. As Ruchika says: PARENTS CAN LOVE THEIR DAUGHTERS LITTLE LESS BUT THEY MUST UNDERSTAND THE DAUGHTERS LITTLE MORE. I am a simple girl next door, Risen to carve a niche of my own By working for a cause that leads to each person's growth All I need is your gracious presence and support! I am Ruchika Dhawan, a life skills coach and motivational speaker by profession. Presently, I work for a company called REVUP for which i give motivational training seminars in various schools and colleges of Delhi/NCR on essential life skills Confidence building, Goal Setting, Body language, Presentation and public speaking, stress management,t ime management, Change management, Decluttering of mind, Spirituality along with other vital life skills required for leading a fulfilled and joyful life. I also give motivational seminars along with collegue and friend Nancy Juneja (Owner of Revup) on personal level. Besides this, I am associated with NGOs where I work for upliftment of underprivileged men, women and children. My experience includes having worked for companies - Hero Mindmine, Pria Warrick Finishing School, British School of Language, British Academy for English Language, Academy of Fashion and Art. I am also a certified trainer in Advance Facilitation and Behavioural skills training from Peak Performance Training (Banglore). As far as my

12 qualification is conerned, I have done my MBA in HR from Symbosis (Pune) and I have done my MSC (Inter national Business Management) from Northimbria University, Newcastle (United Kingdom). I also have diplomas in Export-Management and IT and have successfully completed an internship programme in life skills training from Dubai. As a person, I am straight forward, optimistic, passionate and loving. I love to explore different destinations and try different cuisines, interact with new people, sing and play guitar, dance, play lawn tennis and swim. I feel that liberation resides in every once of my blood. I try to live each moment to the fullest and don't let other people's voices decide what my heart will do. I am born to bravely follow my heart and my instincts. My greatest wealth is my knowledge of self, Love and spirituality. However, it is just the beginning. Each day I want to wake up inspired and ready to do something greater than myself. I believe that one of the greatest tragedies of life is when we lose our sense of self and accept the version of us that is accepted by everyone else. Through my book " Route to Transformation", I wish to convey that we all take birth for a purpose and we have great missions to accomplish. So we must create lives to glorify this world with our unique style and vivid imagination. I urge everyone to muster enough courage to live life the way each one of you desires. Also nourish your souls with the higher teachings, turn on your inner light and continue to progress spiritually. So don't waste this life, this year, this day and don't ever end a day without learning something. Time for us has come to re-discover our

13 true self again and its time to fill this land with happiness. My goal is simply to help people live a more joyful and abundant life.
