19 Reason it spread: Accepting and open-minded belief system and Siddhartha spreading his message.
20 Buddha and the caste system He lived a non-vedic life, parentage did not matter. Believed karma was ethical manner of thought, deeds, and words, a code of behavior. Criticized members of higher caste for their actions.
21 Where it spread: Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Indo-China and other South East Asian countries. Also, spread north into Tibet, Mongolia and other parts of Central Asia, and also into China, Korea and Japan.
