9 Cerro Gordo Co., Mason City Globe Gazette, 26 Sep 1998, Obituary of Patricia Ann Kiser [#836255/1] {12448} MUSCATINE Patricia Ann Kiser, 60, of 1318 Park Dr., died Saturday (Sept. 26, 1998) at the Muscatine General Hospital after a courageous battle against cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mathias Church, 215 W. Eighth St., with the Rev. John Gallager officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, with a vigil service following at 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Iowa. Patricia was born on Sept. 29, 1937, in Muscatine, the daughter of Leonard F. and Sylvia E. Bartelt Maher. She married Ronald Kiser on July 1, 1961, in Muscatine. She was a member of the St. Mathias Church. She taught at Keswick, Wilton, McKinley and St. Mathias grade schools. She was most recently a Mentor Advocate at Muscatine High School. Survivors include her husband, Ronald, of Muscatine; her children, Christopher Kiser and his wife, Jeanette, of Fort Collins, Colo., Elizabeth Shapiro and her husband, Michael, of Evanston, Ill., Jonathan Kiser of Muscatine, and Andrew Kiser of Decorah; her father, Leonard F. Maher of Muscatine; one sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. (Kathleen) Casini; one nephew, Jason Casini of Des Moines; and one niece, Susan Casini of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard J. Maher in infancy; and her mother, Sylvia Maher on June 22, 1998.
