1 שם הקורס: המרצה: שנת לימודים: סוג הקורס: תקשורת, תרבות ודמוקרטיה בעולם הערבי ד"ר חליל רינאוי תשס"ט סמינריון מטרת הקורס: הקורס יסקור את התפתחות התקשורת הכתובה והמשודרת בעולם הערבי מאז הופעתה במאה ה- 19 עד ימינו, תוך הדגשת ציוני דרך החשובים ביותר בהתפתחותם בקונטקסט החברתי, פוליטי, תרבותי וההסטורי. כמו כן יסוקרו אמצעי תקשורת מערביים בשפה הערבית ותפקידם בעיצוב דעת הקהל בעולם הערבי. חלק גדול מהקורס יוקדש לניתוח תופעת הטלוויזיה הלויינית הערבית והאינטרנט שהתפתחו בשנות ה- 90 והשפעתם על תהליכי דימקרטיזציה הן במישור הפוליטי והן במישור התרבותי-חברתי בחברות הערביות במזרח התיכון. במהלך הקורס יסוקרו תיאוריות תקשורת העוסקים בתפקיד התקשורת בחברה ויחסה עם המערכת הפוליטית. ידונו קודים התנהגותיים ונורמטיביים בעולם הערבי, סוגיות של החברה האזרחית, צנזורה פורמאלית וצנזורה עצמית, עיגון חוקי עיתונות ותפקוד התקשורת בחברה במיוחד במציאות גלובאלית. נושאי הקורס: תיאוריות מרכזית לחקר התקשורת במדינות העולם השלישי התפתחות העיתונות הערבית בעולם הערבי. התפתחות התקשורת האלקטרונית בעולם הערבי. התקשורת הערבית בעידן הגלובליזציה- תחנות הלווין. האינטרנט בעולם הערבי. חופש העיתונות בעולם הערבי. תקשרות, פוליטיקה ושינוי חברתי. בעלות על אמצעי תקשורת. נשים בתקשורת הערבית. התקשורת הערבית והעולם המערבי, (לאחר 11 לספטמבר). פורמטים ותכנים בתקשורת הערבית. בבליוגרפיה בסיסית: שביט, א'.
