DON & MARIE JOSE MANN - South Africa Two continents Two perspectives! Don and Marie-José are founders of two ministries - Revitalizing the Church (RTC) and Chitenge Creations. RTC is intentional about coming alongside the established church and emerging leaders world-wide to revive, renew and restore the relevance of the Acts 2 church. Chitenge Creations is a micro-enterprise sewing project that provides African women with sustainable business opportunities. In January 2014, Don and MJ relocated from Kitwe, Zambia to Pretoria, South Africa where they have established a Center for Leadership Integrity (CLI). The vision of CLI is to raise a Biblically centered, Holy Spirit empowered, integrity driven generation of leaders on the Continent of Africa - "increasing the integrity of the leader will increase the capacity of the church". As Canadian based Global Workers, Don and MJ spend at least six months of the year in Africa. The rest of the year, they travel across Canada, and other parts of the world, speaking at seminars, conferences, camps and churches.
JOY JOHNSTON - Uganda Unleashing Africa s missions potential! Joy works to equip and mobilize East African workers for cross-cultural and international missions. She serves the function of program director at Missions Transformation Center, a ministry arm of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Uganda, located just north of Kampala. Her role includes program development, coordination of training modules, and teaching. She also participates in missions conferences and missions training in various regions of Uganda. Joy remains Canadian-based while she completes PhD studies directly related to her work on the field. She looks forward to shifting her base to Uganda within the next one to two years. Her life and ministry have been enriched as she moves back and forth between North American and International assignments. Joy's heartbeat is to see people restored to a right relationship with God and ignited with a passion to fulfill the Great Commission. d not only knowledge, and demanding a response.
STEPHANE & BRIGITTE VINCENT - Haiti With God, we shall do great and mighty works! The Vincent family works under the guidance of Haiti Ministries. Stephane has been a pastor for more than 12 years. Since the beginning of his Christian life, he has studied and has felt the calling of God for overseas missions. Brigitte is a specialist in pre-school teaching and care. Around the age of nine, God put a great love for poor and unloved children in her heart. The Vincents have both been active in many departments of their home church (CCDM of St-Hyacinthe) and they have participated in many short term missionary projects. Since July 2013, they have teamed up with Michel and Louise Charbonneau who founded Haiti Ministry in Now, as youth group pastors, their mandate is to train young workers to help with the ministry that reaches 1500 children ranging from ages two and up.
PETER & PATRICIA DEWIT - Paris, France Prayer.Partnership.Practical Ways History: The DeWits spent 10 years church planting in Quebec, 22 years in overseas missions in Thailand. Now they want to serve the leaders of Paris, connecting with them, learning from them as they build Gospel movements that help their city write a better story. Ministry Focus 1. Discipleship: This includes customized short-term residency programs, internships and experiential learning adventures in the urban setting of Paris. 2. Growing a faith-based community birthed organically from friendships and partnerships with neighbors, local groups, organizations, not necessarily within the already-existing churches, but definitely on Gospel mission to serve the city. 3. Teams: Leading and coordinating teams on intercontinental mission trips between Canada, France and Thailand.
PAUL & JOANNA LASANTE - Ukraine Partnering with us.. After pastoring for several years in Montreal, Paul and Joanna moved to Ukraine in They support Ukrainian churches by giving them the tools they need to rise above their social and economic challenges and accomplish the Great Commission. They do this through leadership and pastoral training at the L'viv Theological Seminary. The school provides opportunities for people all over the country to benefit from training who wouldn't otherwise have access. The fruit of this mobilization can already be seen as more and more young Christians are dedicating themselves to church planting and developing plans to meet the needs of the poor and oppressed. It is also exciting to see many launching out into missions to restricted access nations beyond Ukraine.
MICHEL & LOUISE CHARBONNEAU - Haiti Making a difference in the lives of children After having worked in Ivory Coast for nine years, the Charbonneaus felt called to Haiti in They began a church for children and youth, where weekly meetings are held. The average attendance in December 2013 was 1,400. Children walk long distances to attend these services. They play games, worship, and hear God's Word. After being fed spiritually, the children and youth receive a meal of bread and butter or rice and beans - a national dish. The Charbonneaus also started a branch of the ChildCARE Plus sponsorship program in Haiti. As of December 2013, approximately 670 children were sponsored. The PAOC currently has two families involved in this ministry which is based in the capital city, Port-au-Prince. Their goals include building ten more classrooms and a guest house at their facility, The Fortress in order to reach thousands of children for Jesus. They are also involved in prison ministry.
PIERRE & MARIELLE PARADIS - South Africa Seeing beyond our borders! After seven years in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, the Paradis have now transitioned to South Africa to serve as Director of Program at MET (Missions, Exposure and Training). The program has been running for many years and is aimed to equip African nationals to become missionaries and mobilizers of missions. There are four sessions in a year and three out of the four will be in French. Their desire is to see Africa become a missions sending continent, not only sending missionaries within their own boundaries, but across the continent and to the uttermost part of the world. They will receive and train students from both English and French countries within Africa. You too can join them in the task of raising African missionaries. Marielle will also continue her work with ChildCARE Plus in Congo where over 200 children are sponsored by Canadians.
