John Redditt Dr., Lufkin, TX A wonderful, generous, loving pastor and his family in the East District UMC donated their 5th wheeler to those in need who are recovering from Hurricane Harvey. The pastor said they felt God was calling them and they wanted to do whatever they could to help those in need with the abundance of what they have been blessed with. They wanted to assist others in their long and arduous recovery process. Cleaning Kits from Huntington FUMC CONGRATULATIONS! Rev. Bill Lanigan s son recently earned the Eagle Scout Award! Pint-Sized Power House In 10 months the average attendance at Burke UMC has jumped into the 20s, with the addition of two families. With Lay Pastor Mike Waters as their Pastor, the church has learned to trust God. If we make the first step, God will help us with the second step and now we have more than doubled our attendance, Rosemary Berry shared in the Sept. Cross Connection. That is a great achievement!
