Zion exists to + Love God + Communicate God s love to families and individuals in our community and beyond Holy Conferencing Every day it is becoming increasingly difficult to find evidence of Christ s love around us. Anger and feuding is crossing into platforms and onto stages that we are not accustomed to seeing them. Yet, with great distress, we as the church find ourselves in a position of great Church Staff responsibility and opportunity. Regardless of where we think or believe on certain issues in Pastor Assoc. Pastor Lay Leader Children s Ministries Coordinators Youth Director Nursery Director Pianist Rev. Olivia Poole-Reneau Rev. Lucas Tribble Carol Duke Brooke Miles & Sarah Andrews Rev. Lucas Tribble Nikki Bonner Greg Waldrep our world, we are called to be a beacon of hope and a light unto the nations. The church has at no point been in complete agreement, but the church is at its strongest when people listen to one another. John Wesley believed strongly in Holy Conferencing. He believed that in conversations with one another that we could hear the very voice of God. I challenge you this month to engage in conversations with those with whom you agree and disagree, and to dare to listen to them. 4 ANNOUNCEMENTS The new church office hours are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00a.m.- 2:00p.m. Through Our Gifts 2017 General Fund Budget $131,552 Weekly Budget Needs $2,530 Actual YTD $ 79, /1/17 Offering $ 2, Many thanks to the United Methodist Men and two other donations for our new projector in the sanctuary! This will definitely enhance our VBS program and other worship aids this month! Thank you!

The United Methodist Men The Men s breakfast is the 4th Sunday of each month at 7: 30am and all men are encouraged to attend. WOMENS RETREAT A Women s Retreat will be held from October 20 th - 22 nd in Orange Beach, Alabama. All women of the church are invited.
