We hear John 11:1-45: Baptismal image: the raising of Lazarus. W L Lenten dinners continue this Wednesday evening! This is the final supper, study, and service for the season of Lent. Soup and supper begins at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall, followed by a time of discussion on Luther s Small Catechism. Worship with Holy Communion begins at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. To sign-up for the dinner, please write your name on the back of your a endance card or call the church office during the week. April 5 - Chili Topic for discussion: Confession and Office of the Keys
2 A S S Andrea Adams is returning today to share her presentation of Mary at the Cross. This will take place in the parlor at 9:45 am. There will be time for questions and a discussion led by Pastor Wa after her soliloquy. Please join us for this very touching and moving presentation. E B A sign-up sheet is located in the lower narthex for the Easter Breakfast. Tickets: Adults $5.00; Children: 4-12 years - $3; Children under 3 - no charge but please sign up so we can have appropriate seating. H W S Holy Week and Easter are next month. The schedule is as follows: April 9 - Palm Sunday, 8:00 am, 10:45 am April 10, 11, 12-12:15 pm April 13 - Maundy Thursday, 12:15 pm, 7:00 pm April 14 - Good Friday, 12:15 pm, 7:00 pm April 15 - The Vigil of Easter, 7:00 pm April 16 - Easter, 8:00 am, 10:45 am S S The next concert in the Sanctuary Series takes place April 30. Under the direction of Randy Yoder, the York County Honors Choir will perform a variety of sacred and popular selections. The concert begins at 7:00 pm in the nave. 2
3 O C All are welcome in the balcony to get a closer look at the pipe work inside the organ chambers. To see non-speaking pipes that have been removed, please visit the choir room. Your financial support of the Christ Lutheran Church Organ Fund will help maintain and restore the instrument for generations to come. Brochures with additional information can be found in brochure holders around the church. S S Thank you to all who purchased soup for our youth fundraiser for Diaconos Camp and other youth projects. We made over $600! Thanks also to the families who prepared and donated their homemade soup. Plan to have supper on Tuesday, May 2 between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. at South York Isaacʹs. On that evening, 25% of your food and beverage purchase will be donated to our fund to send Christ Church kids to Diaconos Camp. P R Today, the Retreat Commi ee meets in the Parlor after the late service. Watch for details soon! Save the Date - August 25-27, 2017 at Camp Kirchenwald in the new Schreiberhaus Lodge. C C Yesterday was the Catechetics Bus Trip to DC to visit the National Cathedral and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Ask a young person about the trip! 3
4 N P Noodles pickup is today. All are invited to pick up noodles to cook and return for the Soup Kitchen by April 9. Noodles are on the table outside of the choir room. C M There is a Signup Genius site for volunteers to sign up to help with the Community Meals. Visit the church s website, and click on Community Meals to sign up to help! A sign-up sheet is also available in the lower narthex. Contact Tom Keller or Cindy Cooley. Please consider contributions to the community meals. Contributions can be made by using the small manila envelopes in the pews, by writing your name, envelope number, checking the Special Offering, and writing Community Meal in the lines below. Your contributions will be added to your annual giving record. G G C Continue to support our youth by buying Grocery Gift cards to Giant and/or Weis. With each gift card purchase, the youth ministry receives 5% from the purchase. Call or stop by the church office. I -G F The ingathering of non-perishable food items for the pantry at St. Paul s is collected each Sunday. Place your items for donation in the box located in the upper or lower narthex hallway. 4
