4 In the beginning, God made heaven and Earth. He made us a world to show what we re worth. Creation gave birth to heaven s bright stars And planets nearby from Venus to Mars. For God, nothing s hard. In a week it was done. The plan started budding on day number one. The sky had no sun. sun, Water water spread out in spaces. spaces; With There nothing wasn t a aglow, light, dark covered all places.

5 People lay down At night to get rest; Snuggled in bed That feeling s the best! Whispering graces, God turned on His light. Dark went in hiding, The world turning bright. God saw it was blessed In a marvelous way. The evening and morning, They were the first day. The dark He called night, The light He called day For joyful, young children To go out and play.

6 On day number two, God made the sky Full of fresh air and clouds floating high. Clouds floating by can seem in a race. Each one can be wearing the friendliest face: Maybe with braces as well as a chin, Maybe with dimples outside of a grin. In the shape of a cloud, dreams can come true. Imagine and wish; believe in it too.

7 Blue skies are peaceful, pretty, and dry, Finer than art that marvels the eye. Try to envision the sky looking blue. Relax for a moment enjoying the view! Like changing its shoes, the sky turns to gray, Painting a scene of rain on the way. The sky s like a play, each act is a hue. The evening and morning were day number two.

8 On day number three, God followed His plan: He gathered the water and then He made land. The land He called earth, the water the seas, Brought by His hands and created with ease. Then grass came up green and herb growing seeds. What would be next? Fruits, hanging from trees. There were herbs to make teas, and apples for pies, Berries to eat, and berries for dyes.

9 The world was a prize, being made to perfection, Created by God with caring affection, With sections for picnics to sit eating peaches, Oceans to swim in and warm, sandy beaches. Within people s reaches, God trusted these things. We re only His children, though treated like kings. Each good that He brings is blessed in its way. The evening and morning, they were the third day.
